is my pain relief being diminished unknown to me? Thanks ## Hello, Stew! How are you? How long have you been taking the same dose? Our bodies do tend to get used to anything we ingest for a long period of time and it will eventually stop working as well for us. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. What are the markings on the tablets in question?

I have a blue pill the guy said it is a ocycodone 20 But I can not tell I guess they got a little wet hpe else could I verify what they are ## Hi Canun, I'm assuming that you're referring to the pharmacist when you mention "the guy"; but if not, there's no guarantee that it is what "the guy" said it is. Depending on whether you filled a script at a licensed pharmacy, received a pain pill at a hospital, or obtained it through other means, the answer to this question should be pretty obvious in that licensed pharmacies and hospitals usually dispense identifiable tablets. The latter would probably be a counterfeit. Does it at least have any markings that you can make out? On one last note, legitimate 20mg Oxycodone is reportedly gray in color and not blue. It al...

The 20 mg tablets also contain polysorbate 80 and red iron oxide. But I don't think that has any impact on the absorption rate. I hope this info helps! Please post back if you have any other questions or comments to add.

I bounce between two Wal-Mart pharmacy's (a few miles apart). My regular Wal-Mart pharmacy has not had my prescription of OxyCODONE more than three times in the past 36 mounts (3 years) It seems to be very lazy pharmacy employees. These two of three (all three) Wal-Marts in my city, dispense different medications for the same prescription. I cannot get a straight answer from any of their employees why they dispense different medications from the same pharmacy group. I believe the KVK activate quickly but do not last as long as the RHO. The RHO seem to work a little longer but not as strong. Beside constipation, side effects are small. But I am running into problems as the medications are not working for a long. The pain relief is not as powerful as 6 months ago. My doctor, a very go...

I get 10 mg. Endocodil in Mexico made by BioGenTec. It is supposed to be the same as the oxycontin prescribed to me in the U.S. However it is not the time released version that I prefer, and is very expensive. What markings are on the roxy 20mg pill? Also, what color are they? ## Well, first I'd like to explain that Roxicodone is not an immediate release formulation of Oxycodone, it is the regular release formulation. The only dosage available in the OxyIR is a 5mg capsule. Anything over 5mgs and in tablet form is either the regular release (Roxicodone), or the time released formulation, which is known as Oxycontin. That said, there is no 20mg Roxicodone tablet, the only 20mg available is a time released Oxycontin, which has the OP on one side, the number 20 on the other and is pink. Does this match the pill you have? If not, please post back with the markings on it, so I can check what it is for you. Thanks! Is this exstended release? I can't figure it out it doesn't seem like it lasts me 12 hours but I don't know if I can take anything else because I'm not sure if they are extended release or not ## This tablet is manufactured by Caraco Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 20mgs of Oxycodone in a regular release formulation. Generally, they last 4 to 6 hours, but you should follow your doctor's dosing instructions. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. I have been on perocet 10/325 for many yrs, and now my Dr. Switched me to oxycodone HCl 20mg tablets.my question is, how do I know if it is a extended release or an instant release, as my script says neither on it ? I will be able to fill script in a couple days, and would just like to know, as I heard extended release doesn't work as well.....thank you... ## At this time, there is no generic extended release, that would have to be written under the name Oxycontin. If it is written as Oxycodone, it is most likely the regular release formulation. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, headache, and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

The only time released Oxycodone available is Oxycontin and they have the marking of OP on one side and the number corresponding to the dosage on the other. The tablets with the NP 14 marking contain 20mgs in the regular release formulation, so it's a generic for Roxicodone. Is 20 mg oxycodone time release or not and how can I tell ## If you're prescribed it, there will be an ER on the bottle, what color is the pill and are there any #'s on it? ## The only time released Oxycodone available in the U.S. is the brand name Oxycontin, which has either an OC or an OP on the tablet and would have a 20 on the other and is pink. If that is not what you have, then you have a regular release formulation that is a generic for Roxicodone. Here's a link to learn more Oxycodone details for anyone that may need it. Any idea if oxy immediate release by Rhodes Pharma may be left over from a placebo study ? ## Starting last month, I was given these in 20mg tablets. I always feel sick, have a headache, and get no pain relief. It's awful. I just left a message for my dr to see if I can forfeit these, drop my dosage, and get another manufacturer. Something is really, really wrong with these pills. ## Unfortunately, not every product from every manufacturer works for everyone that tries it, since we are all different. I know that doesn't help your situation, I am just giving the basic facts. You are not the first to complain about this Oxycodone, and I am sure there will be more complaints, as well. It worked well for me, when I took it, after dental surgery, but that was several years ago, and I...

I have a small bottle of oxycodone concentrate liquid and I take three 30 mg tablets at once, 3 or 4 times a day. So I have a high tolerance and I'm trying to figure out how much I can take of the liquid to be safe? How long does it take for oxycodone liquid to work? ## You would need to do a conversion to determine the amount of Oxycodone per ml of liquid solution. Typical concentrations are either 20mg per ml of liquid, or 5mg per 5ml of liquid (per this site's dosage list on the Oxycodone page). So first off, is the concentration listed on the bottle? If so then you would need to measure out the appropriate amount of liquid by doing a conversion. For example, if your body is used to a 60 mg dose of tablets (which is very high, by the way), then the goal would be to take the c...
