I am a vet from the war that has no end in sight, I am not special just a soldier like many of you out there. I was shot in the right shoulder and it came out my chest. I was very lucky. Anyway I have been on 40 mg x two a day of oxycontin for 3 years well it was working fine and controlling my pain. Now I am taking the same meds but on the pill it says op not oc. It is almost like I am not on any pain meds at all. I don't think my dr. Has a clue about the change in the formula. He wants to give me more op. but I must have become immune to the meds and I want to know if any one has had any success with a drug called daliade I know that is not the proper spilling but I was hoping some one out there has experience with this type of pain relief med. What other pharmaceuticals make oxycodone 10mg IR besides kvk tech and the ones that have "NP and 12" on the sides. I get headaches as a side effect from these and I'm assuming it's bc of the fillers. I didn't have problems when I used to get 5mg bc there seemed to be more options. I'm thinking I'm going to have to decrease the mg to get a different brand. I don't feel they help at all. Tia ## There are many pharmaceutical companies that make this, far too many to list. The FDA does list headaches as being a possible side effect of Oxycodone, you may also experience nausea, dizziness, constipation, and dry mouth. doc gave 10mg oxycodone ER but can only take 1 every 12 hours and its not working for pain!! wondering if u can take it sooner than the 12 hours? ## You may take one sooner, depending on your tolerance level... how long you've been taking the medication, etc. I wouldn't take it any sooner than 6hrs from your last pill. Time release pills often do not work as well as regular release pain medications I've found. Instead of taking another pill sooner, you might want to talk with your doctor and see if they will put you on a pain medication that isn't time release. ## You should not exceed your doctor's dosing instructions. If the given dosage is not helping you, you should inform them, as you may need a dosage adjustment, or to try a different medication. The FDA warns ...

I have been prescribed 10mg oxycodone for the passed 2 years, 4x daily and have never had any problem with the ones I usually get (pink). This last rx the pharmacy gave me the RP 10s made by Rhodes Pharm. And I have never had a oxycodone make me so sick, sweating nausea, headache, chills. And to top it off no pain relief what so ever. Is it me or has anybody else had the same experience? I was wondering if the pharmacy could replace them. Any suggestions? ## Hi Carolyn, Sorry to hear about your situation and being stuck with inferior pain medication. What is the difference between roxicodone and oxycodone ? ## From what I understand, Roxicodone and Oxycodone are both the exact same medication. The only difference you might find would probably be in the list of inactive ingredients (binders/fillers) that different manufacturers use in their tablets. I think the real confusion sets in when people start discussing Percocet (which is sometimes partially labeled as Oxycodone). However, it also contains Acetaminophen; the differentiating factor between those two meds. You can learn more about this drug on the page for Oxycodone Details I hope this info helps to answer your question! ## Will oxycodone and roxicet be metabolized the same in the body?....thats all i NEED to know

I have a friend that takes 24 pink percocets a day 720 pills a month an her doctor prescribed them to be taken like that can that harm her. ## If this is what her doctor recommended for her, then I'd imagine she must be in some serious debilitating pain without it. However, what really concerns me about this doctor's approach is that each percocet tablet contains a minimum 325mgs of Acetaminophen. At the dosage she's taking in, that's an alarming 7,800mgs of Acetaminophen within 24hrs. Enough to cause some serious liver damage. Her doctor may have ignored the warning label, but it's been clearly stated by the FDA as well as drug manufacturers NOT to exceed 4,000mgs of Acetaminophen within a 24hr period and NOT to exceed 1000mgs in a single dose. These numbers a far b...

If so, you may want to consider seeing if there is a pain management specialist in your area, that your doctor can refer you to.

The np 12 10mg oxycodone hcl pills are just as good if not better than the k's or A's or any other 10mg oxy for that matter..like the previous person said it all matters how your body metabolized the drug...bottomline everyones chemistry is diffrent...ive been on narcotics since i was 16 and I have always hated the "this brand is better than this brand" discussion ## @Grizzy, You have a good point about 'how the body metabolizes the drug due to different body chemistry', as opposed to one brand being "better" than another. I think there are few exceptions though, like when it comes to certain manufacturers using more or less active/inactive ingredients that obviously give it a greater or lesser advantage than other brands/generics right off the bat.
