I went to the Emergency Room last Saturday on 12/122015. I could not take the pain. I got 2 Vicodin at the Emergency Room. The doctor sent me home with 2 prescriptions. The Prescriptions were for Oxycodone. I had a reaction to it. I think they were Percocet. I became very itchy. I called the ER and told a nurse what happened. She told me to come back. I was too tired and never went back. Now it is Christmas and I wish that I did go back. Is Oxycodone the same as Percocet? I think that I had a bad reaction to Percocet about 10+ years ago. My old PCP told me to say that I was allergic to it. ## Hello, Janet! How are you? I'm so sorry about the problems you've experienced. Yes, they are the same. Percocet contains Acetaminophen and Oxycodone as its active ingredients. The FDA class...

Is the nickname for U17 known also as a substitute for Percocets or is it's nickname known as substitute for Roxycet. Are there any variances ## They actually aren't nicknames, there are brand names and generic names. The brand name is a trade name given by the original manufacturer of a medication, and the generic name is the list of the actual ingredients. The generic name for Percocet is Oxycodone with APAP (Acetaminophen) and the generic name for Roxicet would just be Oxycodone, so yes, they are different. The tablet with the U17 marking is manufactured by Aurolife Pharma and they list it as containing 10mgs of Oxycodone and 325mgs of APAP (Acetaminophen), so it is a generic for Percocet. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may caus...

my friend takes 15 mg oxycodone ## Did you have any specific questions about it? The FDA classifies this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. It is an excellent analgesic that works well for most people and is often the drug of choice for someone with severe pain that may not respond to other treatment options. You may be more familiar with under the names Roxicodone, Percocet and Oxycontin, all of which contain it as an active ingredient.

I can not find a drug store that wants to sell Oxycodone. I live in a big city. Now what? ## This might sound like a redundant question, but do you have a prescription for Oxycodone? It is a highly potent drug and is heavily regulated in its distribution. Even if you do have a prescription, I believe the doctors and names are tracked in a central system to prevent abuse of this drug since it can be highly addictive. What are these drug stores telling you? ## If u have a legit script, get out the phone book and start calling. It's not possible that it can't be filled. Unless ur talking Oxycontin. Even that should only require a few calls. Good luck. Larry ## I have a legal prescription. My pain specialist MD told me that Oxycodone has been removed from all of the shelves. He gave...

i would like to see how the pills look to make sure im getting the right medication ## Since there are different formulations of Oxycodone available, the time released, the immediate release and the regular release, the last two of which are also available as generics, I cannot possibly list descriptions and markings for all the tablets on the market. Oxycodone is also available combined with Acetaminophen in several products, such as the brand names Percocet, Roxicet or Endocet and this is also available as generics. What are the markings on the ones you have? That is what enables us to identify them for you. I can tell you that if you are on the time released formulation, Oxycontin, they are very easy to identify, since they are only available in the name brand, which is manufactured ...

I need a pharmacy in southern Ga to fill oxycodone. My doctor is a pain management doctor in GA that has been in practice for years. I have been seeing this doctor for a year or more. My regular pharmacy has closed due to an illness. I have been getting this medicine for 6 years. Please any information will be greatly appreciate. ## I'm sorry, but unfortunately, there is no central listing of what pharmacy has any given medication in stock. The only thing you can really do is go to your local pharmacies with prescription in hand to see who has it in stock. Learn more Oxycodone details here. Does anyone else know of one in that area that has had it recently? ## I have been in every pharmacy in four counties. They say they can't fill for an out of town doctor. Any names of Towns t...

I have Hep-C and am taking oxycodone-acetaminophen for severe knee pain. Meanwhile, my liver is getting worse. My "doctor" a P.A. says there is no oxycodone without acetaminophen. My hematologist says there is...and that I should be on it. Who's correct here and what should I do? ## There certain is Oxycodone available without Acetaminophen, it is sold under the brand names Roxicodone, which is a regular release formulation and an instant release one called OxyIR, both of which are also available as generics. Learn more Roxicodone details here. If you're just seeing the PA, that may be the issue, as they do not have as much knowledge as doctors. I'd suggest you ask to see an actual doctor to discuss the issue. Is tehre anything else I can help with? ## Oxycontin is a...

I too used to take the Watson Marked ones, but CVS switched to these and I find these VERY VERY effective. I think that the reason some people don't like them is there body is used to the other and a lot of it maybe "brain" issues. Your brain is used to taking "Watson's" and when you change your brain is saying Ol no something different it won't work, helpppp... But rest assured your body WILL get used to them and start to work, it just takes time. Thanks, Jeremy ## When you switch brand names or manufacturers the drug itself doesn't necessarily change, but rather the binders or fillers that they put with it. For this very reason, I believe the differences and side effects people feel have a lot to do with certain "inactive" ingredients that may o...

does anybody know how to translate percocet/oxycodone in espanol/spanish ## There really isn't a translation. There may be Mexican brand names for it, but if you're looking for Oxycodone, you'll still see that on the label, since it is the chemical name. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

My doctor prescribed me (60) 30mg. Oxycodone's. But my pharmacist gave me (120) 15 mg. pills as a substitute. My question is will (2) 15 mg. pills have the same effect as (1) 30 mg. pill? ## yes it will. I have found that XOLOX 10/500 is the best pain reliever of oxycodone and only like $1/tablet ## My doctor explained to me that it is equivalent. ## Yes, as long as it is the same release formulation, then it would be the same. Oxycodone is a very potent narcotic pain reliever. Commonly sold under the brand names Roxicodone, OxyIR and Oxycontin, depending on the release formulation prescribed. Some common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. You can read more about the medication here: Did you have any other questions? ## yes,, on paper taking tw...

I just moved to Hampton Roads, Virgina and am looking for a pain management doctor that will be willing to write for my meds. I have been a pain management patient for over 15 years and I take OxyContin, oxycodone and lyrica. I have sent my records to two big pain clinics and I am waiting to hear back from them to see if they will accept me as a patient or not. However, I am going to run out of my meds next week and there's no way that I will be able to get in with the new clinic, IF they even accept me as a patient!! I would be very grateful for any names of good clinics/doctors that will be willing to write for my meds. Thanks!! ## I am very sorry, but there is no such thing as an Oxycodone doctor. Any doctor can write a prescription for it, technically, however due to how often i...

I have had chronic back pain for years have had two surgeries and no success my current Dr prescribes me oxycodone 30mg which help but he's retiring and I need to find a Dr that will prescribe the same meds if anyone can give me some names would be greatly appreciated. Thanks ## Hi Tombuzz, I just saw your post about your doc retiring, you're in Hazelton which is where my husband was born and still has a few family members I think. I'm surprised your retiring dr doesn't have another one coming in to take over his practice! Too bad because it sure would make things easier for you. Does your retiring Dr have any suggestions for you? If he's not mentioned referring you to another dr, ask him if he would. I'd think he'd be in the know where the drs in town are co...

I need to know if this is as effective as its counterparts and if it is as strong? ## I dont know i have never seen one that looks like these im still trying to find out if they really are 30s ## @Heather, The Oxycodone that Karen is describing is in fact a 30mg tablet, manufactured by Mylan Pharmaceuticals Inc. For further verification, the National Drug Code (NDC) is: 00378-6114 @Karen, It's important to know that medications can affect everyone differently, where as some people get great results from taking it, but there are others that it just doesn't work the same for. Unfortunately, the only way to find out is to actually try it and be your own best judge. In general, when you switch brand names, the drug itself doesn't change, but rather the binders or fillers that th...

THIS PAIN I BEEN HAVING IT SINCE I WAS 14 YEARS OLD NOW IM 30! AND STILL HAVING ALOT OF PAIN IN MY CHEST AND BACK! CAN YOU PLEASE HELP ME WITH STRONG PAIN MEDS! ## @Ea, I think with regards to trying specific manufacturer's brands or generics, there comes a point of understanding in knowing that we all react/respond differently despite taking the same active ingredient(s). I think this is not only in part due to our unique individual biochemistry or our state of being and how we interpret the eff...
