I went to my dr yesterday and then to my safeway to get script filled, they said they were out and not sure when they would get them in.. I called 37 pharmacys and went to about 12 all over Maryland West Virginia virginia and PA....... And they ALL say the same thing that they are out of stock... How is that possible!!! I can not find a drug store that wants to sell Oxycodone. I live in a big city. Now what? ## This might sound like a redundant question, but do you have a prescription for Oxycodone? It is a highly potent drug and is heavily regulated in its distribution. Even if you do have a prescription, I believe the doctors and names are tracked in a central system to prevent abuse of this drug since it can be highly addictive. My mom was taking a generic oxycodone for months it was not Activist. I pick up her scripts and know Activis is toxic from my own experience. The label read Mallinkot it looked different as the strength. Was increased. She said it did not help her pain despite the higher dose. She began to complain of itching too. After several days she was really sick with a swollen face BAD. Called MD several times. I told her to stop the pain med as this was the only thing new. MD prescribed Benadryl and new script for pain. In the meantime looking at her old pill bottle the pills did not match the label description. Looked them up and they were Activist A332. I have an extra lumbar vertebra and the older I get the more it hurts. Been using Tylenol (everything else makes me wheeze). I was in the hospital for kidney stone and was given Percocet...seems that 2.5 mg helps me sleep pain free and doesn't snow me in the morning. I have been taking qty of 120/mo,10-325 (percocet) for 2yrs with no side effects. My new MD reduced the qty to 90 and all was ok. He then reduced the qty to 60/mo 2 weeks ago and now my back pain has increased so much I can no longer continue my 1/2 mile daily walks. On his progressive timetable that qty is to be reduced to 45/mo which will be intolerable. I think I will be ok taking the same strength for 75/mo or would I be better off taking a qty of 60/mo 20-325 extended release? I am a 28 year old female and I am on 10/325 Oxycodone for almost 5 years now for lumbar chronic pain. My new MD wants me to see a surgeon or get off of the painkillers altogether. I have seen two different surgeons in the past and they both told me surgery isn't an option. But my MD thinks otherwise and wants me to get an MRI. This medication is the only way I can function daily. I have tried to stop and taper off and such but it just causes my back to lock up so bad I can't even walk.
