Oxycodone is is a semi-synthetic opioid medication used for managing moderate to severe acute or chronic pain when other treatments are not sufficient. It may improve quality of life in certain types of pain. Oxycodone combination products are manufactured with Paracetamol (Acetaminophen), Ibuprofen, Naloxone, Naltrexone, and Aspirin.

I've been taking oxycodone 15mg green tabs for chronic pain management. My last prescription I dropped off at Walmart pharmacy. When I picked up my prescription the pills the pharmacist showed me looked very different from the green round pills I'm used too taking. Theses pills, made my Rhodes made me sick immediately. I suffered withdrawal like symptoms (headache, dry mouth, anxiety) and had little or no pain relief for two weeks. what is the difference between hcl cr and hcl tb 12? ## Well that is really not a commonly use, or even correct way of describing or prescribing Oxy, but it seems someone is using that to denote the different between Oxycodone Instant Release, which is a generic for Roxifast, all of the med is released in your body as once for pain alleviation, normally referred to as Oxy IR, and Oxycodone Controlled Release which is a tablet specially designed to release the drug over a 12 hour period, these are generic version of Oxycontin. So regular Oxy, the IR version, releases the full dose soon after you take the pill, these are only available in up to 30mgs, but the Oxy CR slowly releases the medication over a 12 hour period (Oxycontin) and these are available in up to 80mgs. ## Sorry, basically...

Hi, I'm new to this and am having the same problem. I live in SWFL in port Charlotte. I have severe chronic lower back pain and neck pain. Ive been seeing the same pain mgt Dr for 2 yrs. I got my prescription last week, and drove 200 miles, and can't fill the roxycodone 30's 150. Ive gone to Walgreens for about a year, with no problems. I went there last wk amd pharmacist told me we don't have them, and even if we did, I'm not comfortable filling the script. I get 10 mg. Endocodil in Mexico made by BioGenTec. It is supposed to be the same as the oxycontin prescribed to me in the U.S. However it is not the time released version that I prefer, and is very expensive. My mom recently passed for what the coroner said was mixed drug toxcitity. Her Oxycodone level was 3.4mg/L they said it should have been between 0.02 and 0.1. It is possible that my mom could have deliberately OD as she was in a lot of pain and depressed. However, I have heard about build up of oxycodone in the system over a period of time. With older bodies they aren’t able to metabolize the morphine? I’m trying to find some answers and would appreciate any insight. I have been on 80mg. Of oxycodone a day for 6 good mo. Now for my disease. Today I go to a new pain clinic as I moved to a new state. I just came from there to find out this state will not give 30mg.pills. They told me to take one a day for a week then return. Am I going to go through hard withdraws? i have been on oxycodones for over 2 years now the shortage is makin it difficult for me to get scripts filled hope you can help, ## I'm sorry, but this site does not manufacture, nor sell any products, nor do we have any way of knowing what pharmacy may have any given medication in stock, at any time. The shortage has been affecting many people, we have quite a few posts about it. Production should, however, return to normal in January. In the meantime that only thing I can suggest is speaking to your doctor about possibly using an alternative medication. Are there any other comments or questions?

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN OXYCODONE AN OXYCOTTON? ## It would depend on what formulation of Oxycodone you are talking about. Oxycontin contains Oxycodone, but in a time released formulation, so the medication is slowly released. Roxicodone contains Oxycodone, but in a regular release formulation, this one is also available as a generic. OxyIR contains Oxycodone in an immediate release formulation and is available as a generic, as well. Is there anything else I can help with?

Can it help insomnia? ## Hello, Jo! How are you? These must be very old tablets, this marking was discontinued back in 2007 or early 2008, I don't remember the exact date. They were manufactured by Qualitest Pharmaceuticals and contain 5mgs of Oxycodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. The FDA classifies this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. That said, while it can cause drowsiness, it is not intended to treat insomnia, nor should it be used for such. It should only be taken for pain if your doctor has prescribed it for you.
