If it is not working for you, you should inform them, you may need a dosage adjustment, or to try a different medication. I am prescribed 5 mug of oxycodone. On the bottle is shows round white 48/10 but the pill inside is round white, bigger and just has the # 223. It doesn't seem to work on my pain is this a different type of Oxy? ## Both should be 5 mg oxycodone. Both generic and both manufacture by a different company. ## @Corinne, I do think it's strange that a pharmacy would give you two different manufacturer's products in the same bottle as another. However, despite being the same medication, they are still composed of different binders and fillers which directly affect bioavailability and overall drug efficacy. So one may still work better or worse just because of "alleged" inactive ingredients, which in my opinion aren't necessarily inactive at all if they affect absorption...

I take prescribed oxycodone 5mg with v on one side and 48/10 on the other. Tonight I think I took two at the same time by mistake instead of my usual 1 mg lorazapan for sleep. Instead of drowzy i feel nausous a little dizzy and too alert. is this normal and will it pass? Thank you ## I see this was posted a few days, so probably a little late for the answer, but I will still post it for future reference. Yes, those effects can be normal, in some people, when they suddenly take a higher dose and they will wear off, either when you return to your normal dose or your body adjusts to the new dosage. And just so you know, in the future, doubling up on a narcotic like that does create the risk of overdose, so you should know the problematic signs to watch out for, which may include shallow br...

I was taking 2 white 5mg oxycodone IR tabs 2x/day but they were only partially useful in reducing my pain. My doctor reluctantly prescribed 2 pink 10 mg oxycodone IR (= 20mg) tabs every 12 hours. The number 048 is on these tabs. I have had them for three days now and I am taking them as prescribed, but they do not seem to work nearly as well as the former 5mg white tabs. Is this an issue that is simply in my head or is there a reason why taking 2 of the pink 10 mg tabs twice a day aren't working like I thought they would? Again, the number on the pink 10mg tabs reads 048. Thank anyone who has some substantive feedback to my question. ## Are you taking an otc Tylenol with the pink 10?
