Hello, I am a long time user of oxycodone . Have been prescribed pain mess for around 8 years. I am 35 years old and lead a fairly active lifestyle . I've had many surgeries in which I suffer from serious constant pain. I've tried many ways of coping with the pain but the only thing that really works and enables me to function semi normally is oxycodone. Right now I'm using 30mg Oxys. Prescribed 180 a month, but always come up short as I need more than what's prescribed to my high tolerance . I've tried the extended release tablets in 80mg and they do not work at all, and I feel like they are way worse for my body . I've tried dissolving them in water and soda. I have medicare and have a difficult time finding a pharmacy to fill my prescription for oxycodone hcl 30mg qty 180 Any suggestions? My doctor currently gives me roxicodone 30mg #360, Opana IR 10mg #180, Soma 350mg #120, and Xanax 2mg #90....the only problem now seems to be finding pharmacies willing to fill the oxy's. I was told by my pharmacy (cvc) that they now dont fill beyond 240. Anybody else have this problem in San Diego or know of a pharmacy that will honor the script? I get 180 Oxycodine 30mg each month. Is there some law that the doctor can't prescribe more than 1 per 4 hrs? That comes to 180 per month. I would like to take about 2 more per day. I am on 30mg Roxycotin (oxycodone) 180 tablets per month. I have insurance, however, cannot find a pharmacy that has supplies of prescription (I hear many people are having this issue recently). My doctor might prescribe an alternative. I am very afraid of the alternative due to not understanding how medications translate. I fear it not being adequate for me to function and go to work. Most unaffiliated pharmacies will always be cheaper in price for people without insurance. Walmart/Target/Walgreens/Costco/CVS etc are big chains and will not help ppl without insurance. Stay away from those phony Medical cards claiming to save on RX's prices, they do no good for you. They basically tell the pharmacy to charge you more than cost, and split the difference with the pharmacy, hence you pay more then necessary. On average, you can get 180 QNTY 30MG Oxy from independent pharmacies for around 100$. I have degenerative disc disease, 3 herniated discs and one completely gone. I'm in constant pain and nothing helps. I too, like many of the posters on this forum, have a legitimate script for 30mg Oxy's. Because of "whatever" the real reason (Ex. DEA, Quota's. FL Shortage) I cannot get this script filled. I've been lucky the last 2 months because my doc switched me to 15's, which seem to be a little more accessible for some reason. However, this isn't an option today due to my doc being on vacation... I have used oxycodone for years, rsd, and started the brand again several years ago during shortage. they worked so well I was able to drop from 240 to 180 in two months. Xanodyne 30mg. They sold to Mallencroft and are very expensive now. I tried a generic- Activis recommended by pharmacy. Not only did they NOT WORK they gave me severe anxiety - the same feeling I got when they tried to give me anti depressants for pain. Horrifying side effects- I was extremely anxious, had paranoia and negative thoughts, afraid to be alone.
