May of the year, I started the Opana ER 20mg and for me this has been wonderful. I was only able to afford oxycodone prior to the start of insurance in May. Been fighting a crazy battle with the oxycodone pain relief, cause the pharmacy keeps pushing KVK Tech product that doesn't work for me and has side effects. With Opana ER 20mg as my primary pain relief and Oxycodone 10mg for breakthrough pain, I am finally adjusting where I can function, which It has been a long time. Several years ago when I first started with oxycodone 30mg, life was good because I could function and then my local pharmacies started slipping the KVK products in on me and life became awful. Have heard that some people find the Opana makes them very sleepy. Lucky but so far I haven't had a problem. ## Hi Su...

My 7 doctors agreed that I would have to be on pain meds the rest of my life after a auto accident in 1981, after more than 50 surgeries I was put on disability until I found a old doctor who help put back to the point I had a union of both bones mid shaft of Tibia & Fibula, plus 7 crushed disk, right rotator cuff that pops out & many other injuries. From 1981 until 1990 I was on just about ever form of pain meds the doctors said I needed. I was nuts by then, this was all military & VA doctors. I moved back home where I went searching for a good doctor that serve my home town as I live in the country. He sent me to many doctors & on Jan 2,2000 the team after test said no more T4, or any other medication but morphine sulfate, starting out with 15 mg er 3 x a day & as ...

Can ms contin 100mg be taken with opana er 20mg? ## Well MS Contin contains the active ingredient Morphine. Opana ER contains Oxymorphone. The Oxymorphine is much more powerful and only requires a fraction of the dose that was being taken of the Morphine. Both are time released. They also share the same side effect profiles: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and constipation. Read more: Is there anything else I can help you with? ## I was on Opana about 8 years ago but it was at a time that I was still working. After a few days of taking it I started to get dizzy, sleepy and my computer monitor appeared wavy. I couldn't work like that so I asked to have my old meds back. I wish I had never done that cuz now I'm permanently disabled and cannot seem to get my doc to put me back on Opa...

i have been on 10mg Opana Er twice a day for about 2 months. then my dr upped it to 2 10mg opana twice a day. i did fine on both. now i take 1 20mg Opana er and im itching! is there a chemical difference between 2 10mg and 1 20mg? has anyone else had this happen? please help!! ## Hello, LoralP! How are you? I'm sorry, but I'm a bit confused by the way you worded your post. Were you ever taking more than 20mgs a day? You said your doctor upped it to 2 10mg twice a day, which would be 40mgs and, if that is the case, and you were then taken down to just 20mg once a day, the itching could be due to some withdrawals. ## No, I've never had any, but I've read a lot of people have experienced it for Months.!

I have recently began with a new PM dr that is fabulous. He basically lets me determine the best combo of pain meds for my back and hip issues that are too numerous to list, however, the severity requires anterior/posterior surgery which I'm trying to avoid at all costs. He originally gave me both ms contin and opana to try to determine which works best for me. The ms contin killed the pain but also killed the brain if u know what I mean. The opana worked good but it only has a bioavailability of roughly 10% which makes me feel as tho I'm wasting my time. I'm also taking percocet 10's for breakthru that honestly seems to blow the opana out of the water as far as effectiveness. So my question is who thinks if I switch to the ms 30mg er with perc 10's for the breakthru...

I have spent so much time trying to get my Opana 20mg er and 10 mg ir filled. I had to start sending my scripts to Optum Rx by mail to have them filled. Honestly I've never seen anything like it. I didn't even have this much trouble getting Oxycotin and Oxycodone filled. My insurance co didn't want to pay for my oxycodone anymore so they suggested I change to Opana. The first couple of months it was ok but then I don't know what happened but when I said I couldn't get them filled anywhere I meant it. I went 3 weeks without medication before I received my first order back through the mail order company. I'm trying to change to another medication that I can get locally that my insurance will cover. My question is which medication works better, Opana or Oxycontin an...

Wanted to share with everyone how happy I am to have finally received the new generic Opana ER 20mg tablets from my pharmacy. I had found Opana to be very effective for my chronic pain and was very sad when they switched it over to the new formula as it wasn't nearly effective as the original octagon shaped tablets and caused stomach aches. These new generic ones seem to me to be as effective as the original formula had been. The tablets I received show to be made by Global Pharmaceuticals and are a small, round, green tablet with G73 imprinted on them. I'm happy to report that these are just like the original formula. Now I no longer have stomach aches from taking those plastic pills that Endo is selling. I sure do hope that these remain as they are, but I have read a couple ar...

My dr wants to put me on Opana ER. Has anyone else been put on it, and if so, what are the results? ## I TAKE OPANA ER 20MG FOR A BULGE DISK IT WORK GREAT YOU ONLY HAVE TO TAKE 2 PILLS A DAY AND THE PAIN RELIEF LASTS 10 TO 12 HOURS THE ONLY THING I DONT LIKE IS HOW GROGY I AM IN THE MOURNING BUT ONCE I TAKE IT I PERK RIGHT UP AND HAVE NO PAIN AND CAN WORK ANOTHER GOOD THING IS THERE IS NO ASPRIN OR ADDITIVES LIKE THAT TO DAMAGE YOUR LIVER. KEEP IN MIND EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT SO YOU HAVE TO JUDGE FOR YOURSELF. ## My doctor just started me on Opana ER 10 MG today with Opana 5mg to take for breakthrough pain. I know pretty much nithing about this medicine byt have tried numerous different medicines in the past. I enjoyed seeing your note stating how much it seemed to help you and it gives m...

Can anyone tell me if they have had both at the same every day?Opana er 20mg and opana10mg working together? DOES anyone out there take this meds and how it makes you feel or what should I look for ? HELP PLZ !! ## Opana contains the active ingredient Oxymorphone, a potent narcotic pain reliever. I have never used this one, but have used several narcotics when I was on pain management, so I can provide you with some information. If you are dealing with severe or chronic pain, narcotics are often prescribed this was to try to help you get better pain control. The ER is a time release formulation that is meant to help give you hours of pain relief, by being slowly released in the body. The one without the ER is a regular release, meant to start working within 15 to 20 minutes, after you t...

I am currently on Opana ER 20mg twice daily, but with not much pain relief. Would a prescription of 30mg twice daily OR 20mg three times a day be reasonable? I have been in significant pain for a long time and want to get something that would make the pain more bearable. ## It really depends on you. A higher may help, but there is a chance that it might now, it could be that this just isn't the right medication for you. The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. Are you on any other medications?

Has anyone been on the generic Opana ER that is being made by Global/Impax Pharmaceuticals long enough to give an honest opinion as to how much more effective they are then Opana? My pharmacist just ordered the oxymorphone ER's for me today. I haven't gotten any relief from Opana. I take 60mg of the ER's twice a day with 3, 10mg. oxymorphone pills for breakthrough pain. I'm getting more relief from the 10mg generics then I am with the 60mg ER's. Will I be able to just take the 40mg ER's without the added 20mg ER's? Any and all information would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you in advance!! ## Hi Bleegs, Based on my research, The Opana ER is an extended release; which means that the medication is being distributed in the body for up to 24 hrs. That is suppos...

I need a list of pharmacies in kpt,tn that carries generic opana er in 10mg and 15mg ## I used to be able to obtain Percocet 10/325 now my local drug stores carry Oxycodone which they say is exactly the same formula as the Percocet. I know the drug stores pay less for this substitute but the pills do not seem to work the same for my back pain. I live in Sonoma county and if any one knows a pharmacy that dispenses Percocet I would appreciate hearing from you. Thanks. ## Anyone know a pharmacy around Knoxville, tn that carries oxymorphone 5 mg.? ## Have you tried red bali kratom? It works wonders & it's for pain. Google it & Pinterest also has much information on it.

What is the conversion of opana er to exalgo er? I used to take 20mg opana er 3 times a day and was switched to 16mg exalgo er once a day, but it doesn't seem to treat the pain as well or as steady as the opana. ## According to NIH conversions, it would require 15mgs of Exalgo to be equivalent to each 20mgs of Opana that you were taking, so no your dosage is not high enough to equal your prior medication. Are you on any other medications? Have you informed your medical provider? The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth.

I am currently taking Opana ER 20mg 3xday. It is VERY costly &was wondering if anyone knew if the maker of this med gives low income people a discount or coupon?? ## They currently do not have a program of that nature. Many, many people need such a program but generally you can't get help for pain management. I am on Opana IM & ER @ $1760.00 a month. Thank God for my insurance! ## Yes, getting assistance for these types of medications is very difficult. If you have no insurance at all, you can try: PPARX.org and see if they have a program to help. Have you tried asking your doctor for another alternative? ## Visit and print a free discount drug card. I've been taking Opana ER 20mg and Opana IR 10mg for 6 years now. It has been the best in managing my chronic pain. As if having to deal with that pain weren't enough, I now have to worry that the one medication that allows me some peace. Now it won't be available when I need my refill on May 15th. I am terrified of having to deal with my pain without any help and of the world of other problems I will have because of sudden stoppage of my meds. No one seems to have an alternative to offer. My quality of life is nonexistent when my pain has skyrocketed beyond my tolerance level. How come the manufacturers can pull the rug out from under patients like me? The ones that are legit. The ones who use their meds properly and are grateful for even a small amount of relief? The ones ...

I was in a severe accident in 2006 that caused many spinal fractures, herniated disks, and severe damage to my right knee. I've been seeing a pain management doctor who has prescribed me Opana 40 & 20mg. ER's to be taken every 12 hours. He also prescribes me Mobic for joint pain. The Opana does help with my spinal injuries, but doesn't seem to help my knee pain at all. The Mobic isn't working either. Should the Opana be helping me with my knee pain at all? I have been prescribed just about all of the available opiate medications including; oxycontin, methadone, the Duragesic fentynil patch, morphine, and nothing seems to be working. Is there anything available that would help my knee pain short of knee replacement surgery? Any information would be greatly appreciated...
