How long does the medication take to actually help pain as doctors suspect I suffer with never problems from the top of the spine to the scalp. I have been on 5mg oxycodone for about 4 years. My doc switched me to the 10mg oxycodone tablet. I took one 10mg tab and NOTHING. It was as if I swallowed air. 4 hours later I took another one 10mg tab...Again NOTHING. I don't understand this. When I was on 5mg, I took 2 of them and it worked. I live in Indiana and the laws here are the 2nd most strict laws in the country. So he did this so he could give me the same amount. I have been taking Amitrityline 10mg for facial neuralgia for over two years now. I can identify with many of the side effects mentioned on this site, but I can't find anybody suggesting that by taking Amiytriptyline (in no matter what dose) your libido is reduced.
