Hi everyone, so both my big toe nails hurt all the time, like there is a lot of pressure under my nails, and my big toenails grow up not out like normal. they look normal, other than them growing upwards a little, no colors, not swollen, no puss or any thing. also feel numb when I touch the tips of my toe and along the outside of my toe. Does any one know what might be going on? ## I have the same exact thing going on with my 2nd toe. It's annoying and nothing gets rid of it. Why is it so hard to get rid of the weird fungus stuff.. ## Hello gendolyn, You might want to have that looked at. Numb toes can be the result of a few things ranging from a pinched nerve to early signs of diabetes. I suspect that because of the combination of the toenail growing weird in addition to the toe be...

Will Gelmicin help to eliminate toenail fungus? I bought it in Mexico and want to try it on my toe nails to kill the fungus. Any ideas? ## It's worth a try, I used it a couple of times but wasn't consisting on it, I used to use fungi pen and and would make my nails "look clear" I used it for 5 months every day but in the end it didn't work. So $10 a tube for gelmicin its worth giving it a shot, just maybe use up one tube apply twice a day since it rubs off if you wear socks and see if there's any results, I'll be doing that. ## Have you guys ever looked into trying Tea Tree Oil (Melaleuca) as a natural remedy for nail fungus? My research suggests that it's as effective as topical Clotrimazole in the treatment of nail fungus. Although I personally haven...

Wanted to let you know that Jublia worked. I used a dab of vinegar first, and then put the Jublia on my fingernail. It was amazing for me. I had the fungus for over 3 years. Everyone, even my dermatologist, told me it probably wouldn't work. I used it for the 48 weeks religiously every night. I'm still using it to make sure the nail is healed. I only used one bottle. Just 'wetted' the nail each night. ## I am very glad that it worked for you, that's amazing. I have a friend who has tried everything, for many years, with no luck. Each time something new becomes available, her doctor prescribes it for her, but so far, she's only wasted her money and time. I've also read some complaints online about people running out too fast, it's been said that the bottle...

My doctor put me on Diflucan for a toe nail fungus.Has anyone ever heard of this before? I've already had all ten toe nails cut out three times and I can't face that again or having the nails removed. My nails are hard and curl into my toes. ## Hi Missy, Based on my research, Diflucan (Fluconazole) is primarily used to treat Vaginal yeast infections and has been approved by the FDA for that purpose. However, it is sometime prescribed as a toe nail fungus medicine when the toe nail fungus is a mild case, or if the toe nail fungus infection looks to be yeast generated. I have heard of people getting relief from toe nail fungus while using Diflucan, so I hope it works well for you too. Learn More: Diflucan Details If you have any more questions, please post back. ## Hi Jenna, thank y...

I have tubes of Naftin and Econazole nitrate cream that have an expiration date of 9/11 and 11/11 on the crimp edge. Are they still good for treating athlete's foot between toes and for nail fungus on toes? ## Since they expired over a year ago, it's doubtful that they will be effective at treating anything now. All medications start to lose effectiveness over time and when it comes to a cream or liquid, they degrade even faster than tablets or other formulations. Learn more Naftin details here. Learn more Econazole details here. Thus, it would be best to get new tubes of them. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Can you use an anti-fungal liquid for nails after the expiration date (which is 3/17)? ## Can you use Fungicure after expiration?

Jublia is very, very expensive. It did not work. I bought rada tea tree oil on amazon for less than 10.00 bucks. I squirted a little antibiotic ointment in there, shook it up and used It daily. I saw results within 2 weeks. 3 months later my nail fungus / issues are almost gone!

My sister started using this new topical solution for a mild case of fungus on one of her toes. She claims that since she began using it she's developed really bad headaches. Is this possible? Can this topical solution have a side effect of causing headaches? ## Hello, ElleT! How are you? Efinaconazole, also known by the trade name Jublia is a topical antifungal medication that's most commonly used to treat Onychomycosis, which is a fungal infection of the toe nail. Since it is topical, very little is usually absorbed into the body, so side effects are generally limited to topical reactions, such as skin rash, skin irritation, burning and itching. Yes, it is possible that it could cause headaches, but not very likely, because as I said, you don't usually absorb much medicati...

It didn't take long to realize that squeezing the bottle would drain it all too quickly. Much better to simply hold it upside down for a few seconds while the brush acts as a wick, then, once wet, drag it across the affected nails, ensuring you can feel wetness. In other words, forget about administering a certain number of drops. Just do what you need to do to keep that brush wet. I'm fortunate that, under Medicare and Tricare-for-Life, three bottles cost me only $16 when ordered from Express Scripts. ## I'm two-thirds of the way into this regimen and visible fungus has been reduced by at least 90%. ## I have just completed the full treatment of three 90-day periods of Jublia application to my two affected toenails, and am happy to report that about halfway through the thir...

Candid B lotion works well but it returns after I stop using it. Are there side effects of the prolonged use of it. Can you please tell me what is causing the re-occurance ## In regards to the first question from Patty, that actually sounds like it could be a urinary tract infection and if so, it will require an antibiotic. You shou...

I have been using jublia every night before bed for 4 months, I'm only on my second bottle, with my insurance it only costs me $30. It lasts a lot longer than 1 month. I have seen great results in a short period of time, very satisfied with this product. ## Hello, Bee! How are you? I'm so glad that Jublia is working so well for you. Have you experienced any side effects, such as those listed by the FDA, which may include skin redness, irritation and ingrown nails? So far, it's kind of had mixed reviews, with many saying it didn't work for them, or didn't last as long as it should have. Has anyone else had good luck with Jublia? ## I've been using Jublia for about 10 months and the fungus is gone. No side effects at all. It definitely worked for me.
