Since commencing Xarelto on February 28, 2015, my back pain has TRIPLED! It was never these severe. I just keep assuming that it must be from my using 15mgs of Xarelto per day. Taking xarelto and left leg is swollen, tight and very painful from the knee up to the groin area. Have any idea what this could be? ## I have similar problems after 4 months on Xarelto. My left knee also has weird tightness and all joints are extremely stiff. I was a very active 51 year-old that went to feeling 71 in a matter of weeks. I cannot attribute this to anything but this medicine due to the timing of my symptoms and when I began the medication. But I don't get much out of my Dr. on it. I will go off of it in a little over a month and am keeping my fingers crossed that my body will go back to normal? But I'm freaked out right now. It's hard enough to be aging without something bringing it on so drastically. Let me know how you are and if you're symptoms/pains ha...

It has not swollen up as it did before and someone recommended I take Piascledine. Can I? Regularpain killers either don't work or are on the 'do not take' list ?? ## Given that you have had a clot in that leg, and are taking the Xarelto, it would be best for you to consult your doctor. I have been on Xarelto 5 days now, after being switched off Coumadin when I was in the hospital for blood clots in multiple arm veins. On the 3rd day of Xarelto, started to get tightness in my calf and a little bit in thigh. Slowly it is getting worse, as well as knee pain. The weird thing is it is not swelling and it comes and goes. Saw where this can be a side effect, but haven't seen or heard how long I can expect this to last, if it gets better, etc.? I'm supposed to be on it for 3 months, until I have thoracic outlet surgery. ## Hello, Lefty! How are you? I'm sorry about the problems you're experiencing.
