Morphine 30 sulfate er made by Mylan does not help relieve pain does anyone else have that problem ## I too am finding morphine sulphate ER manufactured by Mylan is not as effective. Almost like going through early withdrawal symptoms, for example, morphine usually paralyzes intestinal movement and causes constipation. I am having cramping and looser stools. I question the correct amount contained in the tablets. ## Sorry to hear about your recent experiences. Medications can and often do affect everyone differently, whereas some people get great results, but there are others that it inevitably just doesn't work for no matter how much they take. changing to Oxycodone HCL BY DOCTOR--what amount of oxycodone hcl would be comparable to MS CONTIN 30 MG ? ## Oxycodone is one and a half times stronger than Morphine, so you would actually need a lower dose of the Oxycodone, which would be around 20mgs. The side effect profile is similar for both, since they are both narcotic analgesics and may include: nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and constipation. Can I overdose on 1 30mg ER morphine tablet? i weigh 173 lbs if that atters. i have nver taken anything stronger then a hydro 10 and kinda scared to take this medicine. ## I'm not personally aware of the difference in potency from Hydrocodone to Morphine, but I wouldn't suggest taking anything that puts a scare in you like that. If it's too strong it's too strong and your best bet would be to start off with a smaller dose (cut in half perhaps to assess your tolerance). To answer your question though, I don't believe you can overdose on 1 tablet, but you may or may not experience some very undesirable side effects if your body is not used to it. I have been on percocet for about six years, now they want to transicion me to morphine sulfate(ms contin) 30mg, so the pain management doctor wants me to tae both until they can remove me from percocet.... to be onest with you I am afraid, can anyone give me more info.....Thanks ## Transitioning from one narcotic medication to another is usually not a problem, as long as your are given an equivalent dosage of the new one. There usually isn't any need to keep taking both to ease the transition, since one can prevent withdrawals from another.
