Just wondered if anybody has any experience of coming off 30ml of methadone and how long it took them really.Ive cut down over a year from 60ml to 30ml but am getting impatient and hoped I could get some idea of how much longer Ide be taking it for.Any input much appreciated, Thanks Nasa. ## the slower you taper the better off you'll be. If they've both been prescribed for you by doctors who are aware that you're taking both medications. Otherwise, combining them isn't safe, especially if your body is not tolerant to such medications. Both of them can cause sedation and depression of the central nervous system, so you may inadvertently overdose. These effects can cause symptoms such as extreme drowsiness, dizziness and shallow breathing, which has the potential to be fatal. These medications also carry the risk of being habit forming. Please help. My doctor had me on percoset 10/325 4 times a day. That was for over a year. Well I found out I was pregnant and the doctors promised me it was ok for me to take them. Well I started not taking as many cause I wanted to stop for my baby. I started getting sick and at first had no clue why. The doctor told me I was going thru withdrawel and I couldn't stop taking the meds while I was pregnant cause it could hurt me and the baby. I'm looking for a program in the Tampa area that will allow me to take home the meds from the begining with the the purpose of weaning me down so I can switch to suboxone without major withdrawal side effects. They will not give take homes when you first start to go to the clinic. You have to prove yourself over a period of time to get take homes. It is a white round pill with no markings except for a score line in the middle on one side ## Hi lois, Here in the U.S. the lowest I've seen online are only 5 and 10mg generic doses. I can argue though that there is an article on a study done here in the states, where cancer patients were randomly assigned to receive methadone 7.5 mg orally every 12 hours for 4 weeks. So I do believe it is available, but maybe only prescribed under specific circumstances. I could be wrong, but as of yet I have not come across anything stating otherwise. Both pills contain 10 mg of Methadone hydrochloride. Neither of these are extended release or stronger than the other. M 57 71 is manufactured by Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals. 54 142 is manufactured by Roxane Laboratories, Inc. Do you have any other questions or comments to add?
