Meth Colonoscopy

hi :) thank you for this service you are providing! I am having a colonoscopy procedure in **3 days from today**. I have been told I will be sedated (asleep) during this procedure. I have taken methamphetamine 6 hours ago and I'm worried if there is a chance making this stupid decision tonight will affect negatively on me when I am put to sleep for my gastrointestinal exam. Will the methamphetamine affect the procedure in any way whatsoever? My stats are: female- 21 years old- 153 cm tall, 52 kgs, last dose was 2 days ago (I'm not a chronic user). I know I've made a mistake and I've got no one to blame but myself... If you could please inform me of any perceived dangers of 3 day old methamphetamine-use and sedation for a gastro procedure I would be so thankful! ## Back i...

I am having the colonoscopy tomorrow a.m. and will take my first dose of Suprep in about 10 minutes. I had the procedure done about 9 years ago, using the old prep method. Based on what I'm hearing and reading, the Suprep should be a little more tolerable. ## How did it go? Several people have asked about it, but no one has posted back yet to say whether or not they had good results from using it, as compared to the old ones. Learn more Suprep details here. ## The prep was tolerable. No vomiting, no other major problems. The only complaint is that I had to take the second dose at 1 a.m. The first dose was at 4 p.m. i got only 2 hours of good sleep. I was feverish from dehydration, so I got IV fluids right before the procedure started at 8:30 a..m. They gave me propofol and it took 2...

I am scheduled to have a colonoscopy and an endoscopy, and I am not supposed to have ANY aspirin products. I am currently on Robaxin, for chronic back problems, and am not sure if it has aspirin in it or not... can anyone help me, by telling me FOR SURE, if Robaxin does or does not have any aspirin in it? Thank you very much!! ## No, Robaxin does not contain Aspirin, nor any related medications. It is a muscle relaxant and the sole active ingredient in it is Methocarbamol. Learn more Robaxin details here. Is there anything else I can help with? Hope the tests turn out alright!

Prepopik is by far the best and most tolerable bowel prep for colonoscopy! I have tried 3 others in the past, including the pill form, and this new prep was the best for the following reasons: 1. Split dosing, 5 ozs, 5 hours apart. Least amount to have to get down (10 ozs total) 2. No salty, gritty taste. Not thick, actually tastes just like orange soda, very palatable! The prep is what hindered me in going back for my follow up c'scpe until now. ## I forgot to say ask for a coupon for Prepopik from your doctor. ## For bowel prep this worked wonderfully. Took the split dose method at 8pm and 3am for an early morning procedure. 1st dose chased with 24oz of water and 16 more oz within the hour and I was having bowel movements by 45 minutes. I did have to use Vaseline on my second dose...

Could you share your experience using half litely. Cramps, nauseas etc. Thanks ## if you are taking half lytely, before drinking get a fresh lemon get the juice in your mouth (use a straw to drink it helps) ## For my 3rd ever colonoscopy my doctor prescribed this prep, saying the previous prep used (with which I had had no problems) was no longer manufactured. A) Halflytely cost me over $70 (with insurance); B) The amount of liquid required to be consumed is unreasonable by comparison to other methods; C) The side effects which I experienced (nausea, discomfort, cramping) made it nearly impossible to finish the quantity. If it is this stressful, people will not do the prep properly. Perhaps worse, they will refuse to have another colonoscopy if given no other option. Terrible experience!
