I am hypertensive and diabetic and was prescribed to take amlodipine with metformin. But, since I also have chronic bilateral renal parenchymal disease with nephrolithiases and enlarged prostate, I had to take tamsulosin with acalka also. Doctors say that the first two conditions have to be gone before any progress in the other conditions can take effect. And, the kidney stones, too. ESWL is expensive and I could't work meantime except from home due to the outcrop of side effects -- ex., diarrhea alternating with constipation -- not to mention the attendant pain of having kidney stones inside me and the looming fever that neither burns too hot nor lets me off completely in some eternal purgatory of chilly heat.
