i just picked up my new prescription for 15mg oxycodone hcl ir for this month,2/26/15. it is made by rhodes pharmaceuticals and is white and very large for this kind of medication. it has to be the absolute weakest i have gotten and i have been on this pain management drug for over 7 years. over the years i have gotten what i thought to be about every different manufacture there was on this drug . does anyone who is, actually know the best one and who carries it in their pharmacy. this #$@#! is crazy!!! ## Agreed... This generic brand from Rhodes Pharmaceuticals (10/325) was a large, round white pill that had absolutely no effect on my pain. I have never received a less effective prescription- it was essentially glorified acetaminophen- without any glory... This medication costs far too...

Been taking oxycodone-acetaminaphen 10-325 for about 5 years for chronic back pain. Had the best control of pain from Malinkrodt Manufacturer of this Med. Pharmacist gave me Qualitest once and it failed miserably in controlling my pain. Now they want me to try Rhodes brand. How does Rhodes really compare with my favorite Malinkrodt? ## There are many variables that come into play when determining if one brand is better than another, and the answer to this question tends to be different for each individual based on things like tolerance, age, weight, metabolism, digestive health, mentality, body chemistry, how their body responds to different binders/fillers, etc. Any number of these factors can affect one's perception (without them even knowing) of which tablet they prefer and why t...

Any recommendations of specific generics that really work for this medication? Do you have the names of generic companies that manufacture an effective version of the medication that is specified in the Title/Subject herein? ## I BEEN HAVING ALOT OF BACK PAIN DO IT MY BREAST BEING SO HEAVY! THIS PAIN I BEEN HAVING IT SINCE I WAS 14 YEARS OLD NOW IM 30! AND STILL HAVING ALOT OF PAIN IN MY CHEST AND BACK! CAN YOU PLEASE HELP ME WITH STRONG PAIN MEDS! ## @Ea, I think with regards to trying specific manufacturer's brands or generics, there comes a point of understanding in knowing that we all react/respond differently despite taking the same active ingredient(s). I think this is not only in part due to our unique individual biochemistry or our state of being and how we interpret the eff...

What is the difference between roxicodone and oxycodone ? ## From what I understand, Roxicodone and Oxycodone are both the exact same medication. The only difference you might find would probably be in the list of inactive ingredients (binders/fillers) that different manufacturers use in their tablets. I think the real confusion sets in when people start discussing Percocet (which is sometimes partially labeled as Oxycodone). However, it also contains Acetaminophen; the differentiating factor between those two meds. You can learn more about this drug on the page for Oxycodone Details I hope this info helps to answer your question! ## Will oxycodone and roxicet be metabolized the same in the body?....thats all i NEED to know

Is the nickname for U17 known also as a substitute for Percocets or is it's nickname known as substitute for Roxycet. Are there any variances ## They actually aren't nicknames, there are brand names and generic names. The brand name is a trade name given by the original manufacturer of a medication, and the generic name is the list of the actual ingredients. The generic name for Percocet is Oxycodone with APAP (Acetaminophen) and the generic name for Roxicet would just be Oxycodone, so yes, they are different. The tablet with the U17 marking is manufactured by Aurolife Pharma and they list it as containing 10mgs of Oxycodone and 325mgs of APAP (Acetaminophen), so it is a generic for Percocet. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may caus...

I was getting watson 5-325 oxycodone from a pharmacy that my health insurance recently dropped from my coverage. The other pharmacies in my area do not carry the watson brand. I've tried 3 different pharmacies 3 different manufacturers and none seem to work as well as the watsons. I'm down to my last pharmacy which carries endocet brand of the oxycodone I need. Has anyone had any experience with the endocet? or any helpful advice for me? Thanks in advance... ## Have you tried asking the pharmacies if they can order the one manufactured by Watson in for you? Most of them can do so, but you would be responsible for the price difference between their usual generic and what the one from Watson costs. The Endocet, however, may work well, because it is a brand name manufactured by End...

I have been taking Amneil 10-325 oxycodone for 4 yrs and found it very effective and now my pharmacist said he no longer order this and has given me Rhodes replacement which makes me very tired, nauseated and not as strong. I would. like to know if any other stores carry this brand? I saw Amneil has merged with Inpax and will Amneil ever be available again at Rite Aid or any other drug stores? ## In most cases, your pharmacist does not get to pick which manufacturer's product they carry, they usually have a distributor that they deal with, so when they reorder, they are provided with whatever company was offering the cheapest price at that time. Thus, there is no way to know which one any given pharmacy might carry. The only thing you can do it go to them, with your prescription in ...

I've read a lot of the messages but didn't find one referring to what I got this month. Its mfg is Alvog round off white maybe a light yellow pill with a symbol on one side and 230 on the other side. Why are so many changing and am I in for more nausea from these ? Thanks ## Hello, Patricia! How are you? It's just a different manufacturer, since this is a generic. Whichever your pharmacy has in stock at any time can vary depending on who was offering the cheapest price, when they needed to restock their supply. However, all are approved by FDA. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. I am somewhat confused. Can someone tell me the difference between MALLINCRKO 5/325 and ROXICET 5/325. I was getting ROXICET, and today I got MALLINCKRO. They both have the same markings(round with 512 on one side and nothing on the other side). I was under the impression that the markings should be different if the maker was different for identification purposes. ## Yes, if the manufacturer is different the markings must be different, but that does not apply if a medication is just being distributed by a different company. Thus, to be certain of the manufacturer, it is important to always look up the medication by the relevant markings, and not what your pharmacy prints on the label. The tablet with the 512 marking is manufactured Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals. NDC: 00406-0512 This med...

Hi, I've never looked for help on the internet regarding my medication, but I'm at a loss. I'm a 46-year-old, healthy, strong and fit female. Three years ago I was pushed from the top of a 4-story building, falling 80 feet. Subsequently, I still suffer from severe, chronic back pain. I take Oxycodone 10/325 every 4 to 6 hours to help manage my pain. When I last filled my prescription, 3 days ago, I noted that I am getting zero relief. I never take more than one pill in a four hour period. But that first day I took 4 pills within 6 hours and still didn't have relief. I called the pharmacy to see if the manufacturer had changed and she informed me that it had not. In fact I looked at the pills and they looked identical to the pills I got the month before. I don't think...

My Pharmacy just gave me the blue pill with the U23 on it and so far it seems to be working the same if not somewhat better than the smaller blue pills that I had prior. Seems lately that whatever type of Oxycodone I take is having an adverse effect on me and making me very tired after a few hours. I never had that problem before. ## I believe the U23 are manufactured by Aurobindo. I've had that manufacturer in percocet form and it wasn't the worst. It's acceptable and works for the pain but has more side effects than it should. It seems like all of the generics as of late are really lacking in efficacy. I recently got some Qualitest 10/325 percocet from CVS (had to ask for them otherwise they would have given me Rhodes). Qualitest got bought out by Endo who then got bought ...

I too used to take the Watson Marked ones, but CVS switched to these and I find these VERY VERY effective. I think that the reason some people don't like them is there body is used to the other and a lot of it maybe "brain" issues. Your brain is used to taking "Watson's" and when you change your brain is saying Ol no something different it won't work, helpppp... But rest assured your body WILL get used to them and start to work, it just takes time. Thanks, Jeremy ## When you switch brand names or manufacturers the drug itself doesn't necessarily change, but rather the binders or fillers that they put with it. For this very reason, I believe the differences and side effects people feel have a lot to do with certain "inactive" ingredients that may o...

What the different of oxycodone Kvk-tech and The oxycodone mallinkrdt ## What is the difference between oxycodone w/apap 5/325 (mck) and oxycodone hcl 5 mg tablet kvk? ## The only difference is that they have been manufactured by different companies. The MCK or Mallinkrdt denotes the manufacturer as being Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals and the KVK is for KVK Tech. Once a medication is available as a generic, it is usually made by several different companies, so this is completely normal. Is there anything else I can help with?

What is this pill I found? GPI. A 325. It is round, white, nothing on other side. is this similar to percocet 5-325 ## I am not sure what the Qua refers to, I can't even find a drug manufacturer listed under that. Can you be a little more specific? I can tell you that Percocet contains Oxycodone and Acetaminophen, the dosage you mentioned is 5mgs and 500mgs, respectively, However, Oxycodone is also available without Acetaminophen. It is a narcotic pain reliever and common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Read more:

Did this manufacturer raise the price of this medicine in the last 4 weeks? I am not insured. I have been on this med long term. For the last 2 yrs I paid 96.?? for 180 pills, about 3 mos. ago the price went down to 81.?? I just went to get them today and the price was 223.24 for 180 pills the same amount I have always gotten. The store said it was the manufacturer raising the price. I can't afford more than 200.00 I could barely pay the Dr. and 80.00 for my script. How do I find out if the manufacturer actually raised the price or if the store is feeding me a line of crap? Any help would be great! Thank you! ## hi I'm not sure exactly if they raised the price or not. I won't be surprised if they did since they have newly established FDA narcotic regulations. I am uninsured ...

I ran across these pain pills due to having severe chronic pain and after reading some of these comments i am shocked. I used to take the Watson brand of percocet and could not find another manufacturer that compared to them until i got the Rhodes brand. I would like to see other pharmacies carry them. I cant believe that im reading that ppl think they arent any good. I have one of the worst spinal problems in the world and stay in pain. Im thankful to have found this brand. ## Renee, It has nothing to do with the active ingredient oxycodone. Each generic drug differs in the binders used. Some folks are unable to tolerate these so the adverse effects stem more from that then the response to the oxycodone component ## To add some more information.... I have worked in Hospital Pharmacy for over 15 years, and have NEVER SEEN a 5/325 tablet this small. Makes me wonder..... ## Hello, Matthew! How are you? The size doesn't mean anything, that just depends on the active ingredients and whatever inactive ones the manufacturer chooses to use. However, I can tell you that there is no Oxycodone/Acetaminophen tablet listed in the NIH databases that has only GP on it. Are there any additional letters or numbers on it? The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. ## Found out the nursing home my mom is at was giving the WRONG DRUG.! Not too pleased! Matt Dodson, DD, PhD
