Losar H 40mg

Wanted a generic for Diovan because the cost became prohibitive. Have not started the Losartan yet. What are the differences in these 2 pills, if any. ## Both drugs are in the same class of medication. They are both ARB's (angiotensen II receptor blockers.) They just have slightly different chemical structures. A dose of Losartan 25mg is approximately equivalent to Diovan 40mg as far as dosing goes. It should work as well as Diovan in lowering your blood pressure. If it does not, Avapro (another ARB) is also available generically. ## I'm taking Diovan 160MG and Losartan 100mg together. My blood pressure is high. Is it because I'm taking both of these meds daily?

I was taking Benicar tab 40mg my pharmacist sent me Losartan tab 100mg. Is that the equivalent or could this be a mistake? ## No, it is not the same medication. Benicar contains Olmesartan, so the Losartan is in the same class, but it is a different drug. Have you contacted them about it? Since they are in the same class, they work the same way, but such a switch shouldn't be made, without your doctors approval.

I was just put on Losartan. I was told to take the pill once a day one hour before bedtime, because the pill can make you drowzy. This will be my second day taking this medication. I do believe I may have taken 2 of all my medications tonight by accident: Atenolol 50mg, Losartan 25 mg, Eszopiclone 3mg, Esomeprazole 40mg. Will I be alright? ## The main concern here is the Ezopiclone, since taking a double dose could result in excessive sedation and depression of the cental nervous system, according to FDA reports. can my medication pravastatin 40mg bisoprolol10mg, losartan100 cause me to itch. when i take my medication at night im up all night scratch all over. i find this happens only at night. so im thinking thats when i take these 3 medications and one could be the culpit. Take 40mg at night, take losartan 100/25 morning. after morning BM[normal] half hour later stomach cramps and severe diarrhea lots of water. could pravastatin cause this? causing liver to dump bile? taking a water pill and adding this effect causes me to be concerned as to dehydration with 80-90 degree temps here in the South? ## Hello, Rick! How are you? Yes, it can cause those types of issues in some people that take it. These statin medications are very problematic and many people have experienced such severe joint and muscle aches that they had to stop taking them. In these high temps, it might be best to speak to your doctor about adjusting something or perhaps dropping the diuretic for now. Are there any other questions or concerns?
