Please share information about this drug, what it is used for, etc... ## Based on the spelling, I think you may have meant to say "Januvia" (sitagliptin phosphate). Is that correct? Januvia is an oral prescription medication marketed for managing type-2 diabetes. MedlinePlus.gov states that it works by increasing the amounts of certain natural substances that lower blood sugar when it is high. According to the manufacturer's claims, Januvia can reportedly lower blood sugar more than Metformin alone and is said to be very powerful in that regard. Drug Class: dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitors - (antihyperglycemic) Manufacturer: Merck & Co. Dosing: Januvia is said to be taken once a day with or without food. I hope this helps!

I usually get the 54/ 142 and pay about $22 for 150 I had to go to a different pharmacy this month and they gave me the ascertain 116 ones and charged me $90 for the same 150!! Bottom Line just too expensive. $350 for 100 MG for 30 Days. I can't afford it. It works but too much! Is there something else I can take? I also take 800 MG Metformin twice a day. Age 50. I am in good shape, no side effects, just bad genes from Dad who also has Type II Diabetes ## Januvia does have a savings coupon for those with private insurance that can help you save up to $150 per prescription. You can learn more about the Januvia Program here. If you don't qualify, you should consult your doctor to see what other medications you can try. What state are you in? Some have prescription savings programs of their own. Thanks ## I've been diabetic since 2000 and have been controlling it by diet, but after 6 yrs it is not in control so i started metformin 500 x 2 daily. But after, in 2010 my sugar was staying too high so i was prescribed janumet which caused me to gain 5kgs in a year. Plus my feet hurt a lot and I'm feeling very weak. I had neck surgery on a disc and after surgery was prescribed this med in January to reduce swelling in my neck and now I'm still having trouble swolling and they put me back on this medicine in March is this normal : had a new disc put in neck ## Did they provide you with a diagnosis? It is highly possible for swelling, or scar tissue to cause problems long after surgery, even when it seems that the rest of the recovering is done. Is the medication helping? The FDA classifies this as a steroid that is used to treat inflammation, allergic reactions and swelling. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, acne, weight gain and fluid retention. I was prescribed JANUMET XR 1000/50 MG 2 TABLETS in the morning before breakfast and 2mg GLIMEPIRIDE after breakfast. I was suggested bya doctor to take GLYCOMET GP1 twice daily instead of JANUMET XR. should I continue to take GLIMEPIRIDE because i read that GP1 contains 1 mg of GLIMEPIRIDE ## Hello Rao! How are you? Yes, you should double check with the doctor, but it seems that he meant to replace your other medications with the Glycomet GP1, since it contains Metformin and Glimepiride. Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, flatulence and low blood sugar. What are your normal sugar levels? Were they not in control with the Janumet XR?

i went to the emergency room yesterday. I contracted herpes in january and after taking strong antibiotics started to becone sore afain. I have painful sores and thick whitish light yellowish discharge. THE doctor gave me adco m along with other medicine and a viginal cream. WOULD this solve my problem or is he confusing the herpes with a yeast infection or vangitis? ## Hello, Natasha! How are you? That type of discharge is indicative of a bacterial infection and the Metronidazole is an antibiotic. Learn more Metronidazole details here. It is often the first choice to treat bacterial vaginosis. That discharge isn't typical of herpes, as I said, that's indicative of an infection. Is there anything else I can help with? ## What does adco metronida 400 do when you had miscarriage?

I'm having symptoms but can't tell them apart from PMS, side effects, or pregnancy symptoms.. they include: Sore breasts/nipples, fatigue, on and off slight cramping for a week or so now, hot flashes, more creamy white discharge, occasional headaches, and moodiness.
