Hello i was wondering if they actually do make an oxycodone 20mg IR tablet? Now im on Oxycodone 30mg IR tab #120 1 tab 4 times daily. I suffer from severe debilitating chronic lower back and leg pain. I currently take 20mg methadone twice a day with MSIR 30mg tabs 4 daily=120 total. I am trying to find which dose of oxycodone would be the equivalant of my current dose of Morphine IR. Its been VERY hard filling that script for approx 6 months now and is getting worse. So one option is switching to another medication. Some of the problem is that medicine isnt used as much as it once was. My monthly appt w/ nuerologist is in 2 weeks...so please answer this ASAP Also if any brand names are know thats fine...my insurance will prob substitute generic but brand names help when talking to doctors. can anyone tell me if you can take oxycodone Hcl 30mg by breaking it in half. I have them for chronic pain. It is a blue round pill with a V on one side and 4812 on the other. The pill is scored on one side. It seems to be a high dose for one time. I would like to break it and only try one half the first time but I dont know if it is an IR or CR tablet. I am wondering if you guys can help me. What is the comparison of 30mg oxycodone IR vs 30mg morphine instant release. Say I take 3 30mg oxycodone, how many 30mg instant morphine would I need? ## Oxycodone is one and half times stronger than Morphine, so for each 30mg Oxycodone, you'd need 45mgs of Morphine, or for 90mgs, you'd need 135mgs of Morphine. Both are narcotics, so you should make sure that you aren't taking more than your doctor has prescribed, because they can cause depression of the central nervous system, as well as respiratory depression. Hi, I've been taking half a 15mg oxycodone every morning around 9am. I don't like how a whole one makes me feel and I can still function with only a half. I usually take 1 whole 10/325 norco at that time but I'm out of them so I'm stuck taking the oxycodone. For the past 4 days I've been taking 1 daily 30mg adderall tablets(instant release) about 2 hours after taking the oxycodone half. what is the difference between hcl cr and hcl tb 12? ## Well that is really not a commonly use, or even correct way of describing or prescribing Oxy, but it seems someone is using that to denote the different between Oxycodone Instant Release, which is a generic for Roxifast, all of the med is released in your body as once for pain alleviation, normally referred to as Oxy IR, and Oxycodone Controlled Release which is a tablet specially designed to release the drug over a 12 hour period, these are generic version of Oxycontin. So regular Oxy, the IR version, releases the full dose soon after you take the pill, these are only available in up to 30mgs, but the Oxy CR slowly releases the medication over a 12 hour period (Oxycontin) and these are available in up to 80mgs. ## Sorry, basically...

So a friend of mine was trying to tell me that they make a 60,80 and 100mg IR oxycodone. Not ER oxycontin but IR, I told him he was crazy the highest mg they make for IR is the 30mg Roxicodone. He said they do make them in pill form but choose not to tell us about them because of the already crack down on opioids. For instance, some could be prescribed an instant release Oxycodone for breakthrough pain and then a regular release or time released formulation for better and longer pain management.
