Is 30mg Morphine Stronger Than 20mg Oxycodone

Hello. I take Norco 10/325 TID with MS Contin 20mg er BID for chronic back pain, sciatica, degenerative disease. I never get drowsy and feel it does the job because I notice no pain. I recently tried oxycodone with the letter M on one side & 05/52 on the other which I think is 5mg. Which one is stronger? The oxy i tried or the MS Contin that I've been on? ## 20mg Ms is two times Stronger than a 5mg oxy for sure . ## I noticed that the original poster had a couple typos when referring to Oxycodone and putting the pill imprint for their Morphine directly afterwards, causing some confusion. I wonder what the difference is between 15MG MS Contin vs 15 Mg Oxycodone. Is there a substitute for MS Morphine..I take 2 30mg MS Contin twice a day and also with that I take 15MG MS Contin twice per day..which of course is 45mgs at a time..with 3 15mg Oxcodone for breakthru pain. I was taking 20 mg Oxycontin 3 times a day etc. But my insurance wasn't paying for the oxy. So what I take now is paid for. I have been on and off 5-325 and 10-325 oxycodon for about 6 months now I was wondering how a 30mg morphine tablet would affect me I'm 110 pounds if that helps any. I understand oxycodone is 1.5x stronger than morphine, but does that take the oral bioavailability into account? I've seen someone say 20mg of oxycodone is equivalent to 30mg of morphine, but is that taking into account that only 30% of the morphine is absorbed by the body whereas with oxycodone it's about 80% So when taking 30mg of morphine you're body is really only getting about 9mg but when taking 20mg of oxycodone you're getting 16mg of it absorbed into your body. I think I am going to be switched from 30mg of Morphine to 10mg of Oxycodone, in terms of bioavailability that means instead of my body getting 9mg of morphine, I'll be getting 8mg of oxycodone instead. For approx the past six months I have had even more problems than usual filling my morphine ir 30 mg. twice there have been drug shortages. I need to change to an equivilant medication like roxicodone,or something similar. What dose of oxycodone is equal to 4 X msir 30mg per day??? I take a toal of 120 a month, in additon to taking a low dose of methadone as well. I weigh about 110 pounds and I have been dealing with lower back pain from a fall which injured my tailbone and also have pain in my legs. For six years now . I was wondering how strong the morphine 30 milligram extended release was? I have had loratab before and 20 milligram oxycodone. But I certainly don't want to overdose on it. Can someone help me out? Hello: So I just got something from my insurance company telling me they no longer will pay for oxy 20 or the generic..which is off the market anyway. The substitute is morphine sulfate I believe..that's what they are covering. How much of this do I need to equal one 20mg? I take 3 20's per day..
