I just want to know which drug works the best Oxycodone or Morphine. I was switched from Oxy to Morphine. Was taking Oxy 10/325 and now take 30 mg of the Morphine. ## Hi, Jojo! I think their efficacy also largely depends on your body chemistry and how well you tolerate each medication (in relation to the severity of your pain). Because this factor is so different for each individual, there's really no ethical way to compare these two medications on a milligram to milligram basis. If you're looking to compare one or the other, I would suggest asking your doctor for a smaller script that you can use as a trial run, just to see how your body responds to each medication. I have been taking 4 10/325 Percocet daily plus 100mcq Fentanyl patch every 48 hrs.My Doc changed me to 15mg morphine IR every 6hrs as needed,I can not feel hardly any difference in pain relief should I? ## Hello, Tom! Has anyone taken 10 mg hydrocodone tabs 1to 3 tabs at once to help with your pain. I want to know what I can expect in the strength of 10 mg er once taken . Is it the same as 1 hydro or much stronger ? I have some breathing issues taking 10 mg OxyContin but not with 15 -30 mg. IR 30 mg oxycodone. ## The FDA considers oxy and hydro to be morphine equivalents, but some feel oxy is stronger. Zohydro is a 12hr er med. Depending on how often you were taking oxy, to replace a 10mg er dose your doc would probably start you at 15mg or 20mg Zo and adjust from there. My insurance company did not give me a choice recently so my dr. & I had to make different optons for my PM. I was on: Oxycotin CR 60 mg. twice a day along with ~ up to 4 percecot daily, which was: 10/325 mg. Now, I've had to change to: Taking 3 Morphine Sul ER 30 mgs. with still taking up to 4 percecot daily. How does this compare? I'm still having more pain with this newly issue.
