Thnx ## With your symptoms, you sound like you may be suffering hyperparathyroidism. You should get a calcium level along with a PTH level. Have you had surgery to remove one or more of the parathyroids. You have a total of 4 parathyroids and one or more could have turned into benign tumors (adenomas). how does the pill look like? ## my precription was refilled . the first capsule was light in color, now the new refill is Lighjt orchid . Doe this matter? ## Just to clear this up, no the colors don't actually mean anything. That is something that is entirely up to the whit and whim of the manufacturer. Years of Levothyroxine and never felt better. completely quit and have more energy, but very grumpy ## From what I could gather, irritability is listed as a side effect of Levothyroxine. Hi, my100mg levothyroxine tablets are no longer working for me.I have been taking these for 2 years with a gradual spiralling weight gain. I am now tipping 12 stone instead of a normal 10 stones. I break out in hot sweats and have severe insomnia.. 6 days ago, I just collapsed and spent the day in bed instead. I have not taken levothyroxine since. Instead I am taking, high dose multi vitamins, sea kelp and selenium, I eat natural porridge for breakfast and high proteins of chicken and beef and green vegetables. im on 50mg of levotyroxine still feel like crap, still heavy, will it all change ## How long have you been taking it? Most medications require 4 to 6 weeks to reach their full effectiveness in the body and not all of them work for everyone that tries them, thus there is really no way to say whether or not this will change for you. You can usually tell, when you've hit this point, because that is also when any side effects you're experiencing will be most severe, such as nausea, drowsiness and dizziness, then they will start to taper off in severity.
