Why are so many responders referring to Adderall as Speed? From my understanding, speed is a methamphetamine? My daughter has had very treatment with the prescription of dexedrine 15 mg extended release spansules for many years. Recently, a different pharmacy filled it for what turned out to be labeled as "dexedrine sulfate(salts)" and my daughter's behavior was worse. She has never tolerated adderall. That particular pharmacist said it is all the same. The other pharmacies say it isnt. Since high school I have suffered from anxiety and some depression. I am 25 now. My anxiety is triggered by most social interactions. In high school I would hide in the bathroom because i couldn't face going to class or go to the library during lunch sometimes so I wouldn't have to interact socially. I take generic Adderall 20 mg for narcolepsy and there is not one local pharmacy that has it in stock. I have never had this problem before. The pharmacies are saying that it's on backorder from the manufacturer. Is anyone else having problems getting their scripts filled? ## I live in Southern NH. It is time for the FDA (the US. Government ) to take action on requiring Pharma companies (manufacturers) to set standards for all Adderall brand medications. it is absolutely impossible to determine who makes the real pill and the contents of the medication. I have been misled (lied to) by several pharmacists. Many patients complain about the effects of one brand or another. Suffering from ADHD and its other cousins is painful enough. I am not sure what you are referring to as the 'good old Adderall', but it is likely that this one was just available cheaper than the others, when your pharmacy had to restock their supply. I have been taking Adderall for many years and I've never noticed a smell or taste. However, my most recent Rx (same generic manufacturer as normal, Mallinckrodt) has a *very* strong smell, like a multi-vitamin, and terribly disgusting taste. I live on Minnesota and can't find another Doctor who will prescribe ADHD medication. Its been almost 4months and the piles are forming, appointments are being missed or late for or forgotten. What has been adult reactions and experiences who take Adderall? ## My work's fun, not the drug. I'm not really liking this prescription. ## I personally have suffered from severe ADHD since i was a child.. they had tried me on many different medications for it, which hadn't helped.
