How Long Does Extended Release Morphine 30mg Take To Work

I have a spinal stimulator that was put in place on 8/19/16. It's the worst thing ever! I'm on 30mg extended release morphine TID and 15mg ir morphine for break through, but nothing is working!!! I was on norco 10-325 TID for years but it began not to work like I built up a tolerance. Any suggestions? My doctor is conservative but I have no life in constant pain. Oh, I'm also on neurontin 1200mg bid and zanaflex 4mg qid. ## What issues are you having with the spinal stimulator? It is such a shame that is isn't working for you. What type of doctor are you seeing? Is it a pain management specialist, or just your PCP? The FDA warns that these medications carry the risk of being habit forming may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, and dry mouth.

I have been struggling with chronic pain most of my life. I have been taking 3 60MG Extended Release Oxycontin tablets a day along with 3 30MG Oxycodone instant release for breakaway pain. After 3 years of the same dosage it's not working as well as it used to. So my doctor decided to change up the meds a bit. She gave me Morphine Sulphate 60MG ER twice a day and for the life of me I cannot feel this working. It's only been a day but usually I would have pain relief around 30-45 after taking the Oxycontin and then about 3-6 hours of relief. How is this Morphine twice a day at the same MG going to give me the same relief I was getting before AND was already struggling with hence the change to the Morphine? I don't get it, especially after everything I have read falls in line ...

I was on 5 30mg of oxycodone ir after doing some reading after you have more than 120mg in your system the rest is not helping you it's just loading your system up and your asking for long term problems my dr. Has since put me on 3 30mg oxycodone and one 30mg morphine extended release for nighttime and that seems to be the magic for me, it helps the hard pain during the day and at night lets your system calm down when I'm sleeping. ## even though oxycodone is 1.5 x stronger than morphine, if you take an equivalent dose of mophine sulfate (90 m. vs. 60 oxy), will you still develop the same tolerance/addiction/dependency from the morphine as from the oxycodone? ## Great Gw! I am very glad that you found a combination that works so well for you. And yes, potentialaddict, you would ...

morphine sulf er round tablet (green color) 30mg I usually get a laverder tablet from ethex, but now it is from endo and it is not working as well. ## My question is why does it work as well as the laverder ones I used to get? ## I met to ask why does'nt it work as well as the lavered morphine sulf er 30mg that I used to get Caues now I am getting the green Morphine Sulf er 30mg and they do not work hardly at all. ## its prob because the purple ones are extended release. also different morphine pills work different like the 60's and 100 don't work as good as the purple 30's do for me. its the fillers and whether they put they gel stuff in there or not ## I help test and have been using embeda 30 - 1.2 mg since it came on market. I take it for Chronic Fibromyalgia. It gav...

HOW LONG DOES IT START WORKING, THE 30mg MORPHINE? ## The regular release or time released tablets will take about 20 to 30 minutes to start working. The instant release formulations work much faster. Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and constipation. Read more: Are there any comments or questions? ## How do I tell if my 30mg morphine is extended release or immediate release if I don't have the bottle any more? I have 2 different kinds left but don't know which ones which!? One has a M on one side and Ms30 on the other. The other one has m on one side and abg or something on the other, both are purple.

my drug insurance co sugested i take this morphine in place of oxycodone 20 mg cr tab.. what is your impression of that??// ## Doesn't work for me. See if he will give you the IR oxycoxone for breakthrough pain. That should help.'that's an awful low dose of extended release morphine. Good luck! ## 30mgs of Morphine is equivalent to the 20mgs of Oxycodone that you were taking. However, it doesn't work as well for everyone, similar to Full of Heart, when I was on pain management and had to switch, due to my insurance no longer covering Oxycontin, it helped, but never worked quite as well as the Oxycontin did. They are both narcotics, so the side effects are very similar and may include: nausea, dizziness, constipation and dry mouth. Are there any other questions? ## I Want...

Are these Half Moon Logo 271 Yellow pills really new Actavis morphs? Just got my script n they don't seem right. Can't get any answer ## Yes, that is correct! Actavis does list these tablets as containing 30mgs of Morphine in an extended release formulation. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I was also prescribed the yellow 271 30mg and they don't seem to work as well as the purple 30mg ones I was getting. These ones I can barely feel. I don't understand why they changed it. ## Which is stronger morphine30sulfer or oxycodone half 15mg and how many hrs of relief shoul...

I'm a cronic pain patient going on 10 Years. I have had multiple surgeries on my lower back. I have been prescribed Oxycodone 30mgs up to as many as #240 a month -As low as #90 a month depending on which Dr. I was seeing at the time. This has been extended over a 5 yr period. I do not misuse, sell, give or abuse my medication In any way. I work a very labor intensive job with heavy machinery daily and have found other drugs such as: fentynal duragesic patches, morphine, dilaudid, methadone and Opana to greatly reduce awareness and complicate an already complicated job due to side effects. Now, I'm on Morphine #120 mgs a day.. both immediate and long acting release.. and can't function due to drowsiness and a "head in the clouds " type of feeling. At work, I have notice...

I am being switched from methadone 10mgs 2x a day with narco 10/325 4x a day for a drug called EMBEDA 50mg morning, and 30mg at night. with narco 7.5 as break through medicine. The medicines I were already taking started to be not working so well after so many years. This drug is very new and don;t know, because I still have to go through some withdraws, and. Was wondering if anyone knew about this Embeda? Or, any ideas? ## Embeda is a combination of Morphine and Naltrexone. Naltrexone is to try and reduce abuse. I have put a link to the FDA info below. FDA approves labeling with abuse-deterrent features for third extended-release opioid analgesic: fda.gov/NewsEvents/Newsroom/PressAnnouncements/ucm419288.htm

Is a light yellow round pill that says 271 and has a half of a moon on the other side a morphine ???? I reallly need to know !! ## Yes it's suppose to be a 30mg Morphine Sulfate Extended Release. I have taken them for a month now and I bearly feel it working. This medication from Actavis sucks big time. My sleep has suffered along with more pain and I feel like I'm withdrawing. If anyone else has felt the same please let me know so I can get my doctor to change to some other manufacturer. The purple 30mg worked great but my pharmacy doesn't carry them anymore. Thanks for your read and God Bless. ## @Paul, Sorry to hear about your experience with Actavis' inferior Morphine. They pulled the same stunt with their alleged "placebo-like" Hydrocodone/Acetaminophen prod...

Yellow round pill with 271 on one side and half moon on the other. Found this while cleaning out a house and wondering what it is? ## Extended release morphine sulfate 30mg. They must be new. I can't find them anywhere. I just had a second back surgery, and I'd swear that these don't work as well. I was looking to see if the pharmacy made a mistake, but that is what they gave me this time. ## I have a yellow pills that have 271 round and the other side had a moon on it please help me what is this ## Unfortunately I haven't been able to verify whether or not these actually contain morphine sulfate 30mg. However, I do recall that Actavis Pharmaceuticals is known for putting a half moon logo on their tablets. So the description sounds to me like something they may have manu...

I have been looking for an up to date forum to ask questioms, and hope this is it. I am prescribed 30mg extended release morphine, 4 times a day, and 15 mg, IR morphhine for break through pain, 4 times a day. I have been taking it for aprox 10 years. I have had disc fusing surgery, and have 2 more herniations that need surgical help. Arthritis, scar tissue and many other issues. The meds don't ever take the pain away completely, but allow me to live and work and get up in the morning without wanting to die. I work 13 hour days, at a somewhat physical job for me,, and I went into my purse to get a pill at the proper time, (not an abuser), and my script looked almost empty. I had just filled it. I took my script and went to the restroom and looked closely and yes, it was almost gone. ...

I HAVE BEEN TAKING 15 MG OF OXYCODONE...1TAB 4XDAY. FOR 2 YRS. DR. CHANGED RX TO MS CONTIN 30MG....1TAB EVERY12 HRS. WONDER WHY? WONDER WHY? ## My guess would be there really is no change, execpt for how many times you take it. Your mg add up to 60, even though your doctor changed your dosage. If you feel concerned I would notify your doctor. Do you have any more questions or information to add? Please post back if you do. ## Ms Cotin is a different drug(morphine). MS Cotin would be controled release oxycodone. ## I am on ms contin 60mg ea 12 hrs as it's an er ( extended relief) med. It is also stronger than the oxy. It works as a slow time release thru out the day. If it's not working U can ask him 4 the oxy w/ it 4 breakthru pain. They can & should give both. I take diaudi...
