I took a zubsolv at 6:00am this morning, how long will it block opiates ## Hi hollywood, According to the FDA, "Buprenorphine's average elimination half-life from plasma ranges from 24-42 hours, and Naloxone's is anywhere from 2-12 hours". Ref: accessdata.fda.gov/drugsatfda_docs/label/2013/204242s000lbl.pdf With that said, not only will it depend on how much you took, but also how long you've been taking it for.. or if this was just a one time thing for you? However you can also use the half life to try and estimate about how long each dose will be most active in your system, because after the time frame of each half life listed above, you're essentially going to end up with "half of what you originally took" and then "half of that remaining half"...

It's been 20 hrs since I used an opiate. Hi all. I was prescribed opiates for 2 years. Taking 5-7 30mg pill a day. I would take about 15mg every 2 hours and sometimes I would take a 30mg. I went to see a doctor about 4 months back and she prescribed me Zubsolv. Two 5.7 a day. I was on it for 2 weeks and got extremely depressed and switched back to the blue opiates. 4 months later, im trying to stop this horrible addiction and started taking my left over Zubsolvs. This is my 3rd day. Ive been taking 1/2 in the AM and another 1/2 in the PM and feel fine with some minor depression but OK. My questions is how long should I take this for? I don't want to get hooked on these and I know Zubsolv withdrawals are much worse the opiate withdrawals. My doctor wanted me on them for a few months and I said no and stopped going. My plan ...

I take zubsolv daily. Have been for years. Recently broke a bone and was prescribed pain meds that are opiates. How long should I wait to take one for pain and it work right? Hurting so bad. ## Just take the Zubsolv and don't bother with the 5mg Oxycodone or Vicodin that they will give you for the pain. The Beup in Zubsolve is a lot stronger than what they prescribe after surgeries. I broke a bone and had to be operated on. I didn't tell them about my history so when I came to after the procedure, I was thrashing around in my hospital bed because the amount of pain I was in. The meds they gave me would suffice for a normal person and not an abuser. The Zubsolv will hepl with the pain for sure. I have had back pain for 10 years and feel fine on Zubsolv. Also if you do decide to t...

I used a half of a zubsolv 5.7-1.4 mg tablet today at 2am and the other half was taken 6 days ago. I dislocated my shoulder and I have 4 p15s left to use being as though I can't afford to go to a dr. How long do you think before the zubsolv wears off and I can use the p15? ## Hi Ryan, This is just my own opinion based on what I've been hearing on some of these other related threads. But depending on how long you've been on Zubsolv, it's generally best to wait at least a few days to a week or so between taking Zubsolv (buprenorphine + naloxone) and other opiates in order to receive their full effects. This is primarily because of buprenorphine's long half life of 24 to 42 hours; at which point half of whatever dose you took will be eliminated from your body, and half ...

I am in a foreign country. I ran out of my Zubsolv. I took my last dose yesterday, over 24 hours ago. Since then, I received a prescription for paracetamol / codeine. How long do I need to wait to take it before it is safe and will work? ## It usually takes about 3 days, before opiates will become effective for you, again, though it can vary from person to person. The NIH warns that this medication carries the of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. However, this medication will not match the potency of Zubsolv. Have you started taking it, yet? How are you feeling?

Hi, I just started taking zubsolv and I hardly feel any different. I have been taking opiates for years. I am not feeling horrible withdraws with subzolv but I don't feel normal, and I'm really craving a pill. However, I have been prescribed suboxone before and feel as though they work a lot better then zubsolv. Any advice/experiences/thoughts? ## What dosage does your doctor have you starting at? The goal isn't to create a high, but rather to prevent withdrawal and cravings, but your dose might not be high enough for you. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. ## Can anyone tel...

I took my last dose of zubsolv Tuesday at 3pm (1/2) a 5.7 tab. I'm going to the dentist today at 2 to get a tooth pulled and will get lortabs today about 3 will I feel the effect? I tried taking 2 5/3.25s yesterday at 3 ( @24hrs) will that screw me up for today?? They will be a stronger mg ## Well I took 5 7.5s lortabs today at 50hrs clean and felt equivalent to as if I took one lortab I will take more tomorrow And see if I feel the full effects at 60-70 hrs clean of zubsolv/ suboxone ## Hi ash, From what I understand, due to Buprenorphine's long half life, it's usually a good idea to wait a at least 3-5 days (72hrs or more) before taking any opiates in order to feel their full effects. Some patients may find those numbers debatable based on their experience. And I believe i...

I have been taking Zubsolv 5.7-1.4MG twice a day for 3 years now. I'm about to have surgery and will be prescribed 10mg Percocets. How long do I need to wait for the Zubsolv to get out of my system before I can take the Percocets? I've read it only takes 24 to 48 hours for the Zubsolv to be out of my system but is that still true for someone who has been taking it twice a day for 3 years? ## Usually, it's about 72 hours, before other opiates will work for you, again. Why is there no information anywhere on how to get off suboxone or zubsolv.... since recently I was switched to the zubsolv and I hate it. Any success stories out there? If so, please share how u did it. Been addicted to opiates for four yrs and on synthetics now for a yr. My doctor is useless and I'd rather hear it from someone who's lived it anyways. ## There is absolutely no way to avoid withdrawals from opiates. ## Subs are made to be taken long term, all depending on your abuse and history. my Dr had me on it for 6 yrs. I have the understanding that I will be on it the rest of my life due to the damage I've done abusing H, oxycintin 80s, roxys, morphine for a good decade ...sub's are harder to get off of then anything out there, H included, due to its Half Life. The...

I live in Austin and want to get on Zubsolv. I was on Methadone for 1 year and switched to Suboxone for 8 months. I got off as I could not tolerate the taste. I overdosed on opiates 2xs in January. Please if anyone knows of a physician in central Texas please let me know. ## Dr Daniel Chen is excellent. In Richardson, Texas. I'm down to 1 tab a day. Even though I am still being prescribed 2 a day. ## For anyone looking for doctor subscribed, suboxone or zubsolv go-to naab.org (The National Alliance of Advocates for Buprenorphine). They have a physician match site. It may take up to 2 weeks. I heard from a great doc in less than 18 hrs. For anyone who lives in texas Dr John Morin in San Antonio is an exceptional doctor. ## If you are still looking for opiate addiction care and treatm...

Anyone having kidney pain with this medicine. I have been in pain since they switched me from sub to this Zubsolv. Blood in urine 1-2 day. Kidney pain going on 4 day. I need advice Anyone.... ## If you're having blood in your urine, you need to speak to your doctor, so they can check it out. It may not be related to the medication, but only your doctor will be able to let you know for sure. Are you prone to kidney infections? ## It turns out that I have kidney stones in my right kidney. The new medication also made me very constipated which caused an internal hemorrhoid. I had a major bleeding issue today from the internal hemorrhoid and had to go to the ER. So the moral of the story is when taking any type of opiates make sure you take a stool softener. Not sure if the kidney stone...

My mother was prescribed to take zubsolv 1.4/.36 in halves. The doctor said it was for pain management but I've been looking around and it is only approved for addiction therapy. My mother had been completely off of opiates for a couple of months before being prescribed this medication. Oddly enough, he prescribed it in combination with cymbalta and I read that there is a risk of interaction with seratonergic drugs. All it does is make her sick and does nothing for her pain. She stopped taking it after 2 doses. She does suffer from chronic neuropathy in her leg from a blood clot surgery and has spinal degeneration as well. Am I wrong in thinking the doctor assumed she was physically addicted to opiates? ## While it does contain a potent opiate, which is Buprenorphine, along with the...

This medicine used to work well for me but I could not stop my consumption of cannabis. My doctor forced my hand into going to this wackadoo place called Best Drug Rehab up in Mich. Long story short I got out of rehab and started taking opiates for about four days, then got back on a high dose of zubsolv and it's not working. It's not doing what it used to. I am a little pissed but also i am grateful that im not dope sick. Maybe this could help me move on with my life. 8 years of active addiction will really take it out of you. ## Hello, John! How are you? Cannabis actually isn't addictive and there is no treatment to help someone stop using it, other than possibly life style changes.
