My doctor advised me to take GLYCOMET 1gm in the evening and Diamicron MR 30 in the morning. My fasting is around 130 and PP is around 160. I am taking glycomet 1gm once daily and i am experencing small white ulcers in mouth and acidity.is it related to the medicine or some thing else. ## Glycomet contains the active ingredient Metformin, which is an oral antidiabetic medication that's used to help lower blood sugar. I am taking glycomet 1 gm and glynase 5 mg twice daily & Tezloc 40 in the morning, for about 2 yrs, as prescribed by my doctor. My blood sugar & BP is in controle. I am suffering from very low testosterone level. I want to know whether there is any relationship between low testosterone & the above medicines. I am now taking GLIZID 80 mg two tabs twice a day and Glycoment 850mg one tab twice a day plus Acarbose 50 mg twice a day. Now doctor advises me to take Glycomet 1gm in place of Glycomet 850gm . I find that Gycomet 1mg is in the XR form. How much metformin does Glycomet 1gm contain? What is the benefit of switching over to Gycomet 1gm (Extended Release)?
