I just moved to San Antonio and have all my records from my previous doctor, including my diagnosis as ADD and prescriptions. What I am having trouble is finding a doctor who can prescribe on the Triple Script form (or whatever). Anyone have any recommendations? I'm about to literally go door to door and start asking A) can you prescribe controlled substances, B) Do you take my insurance and C) when's the next appointment? I was diagnosed with ADHD when i was 9 yr old (24 now). I took concerta from then until i was a freshmen in high school and stopped myself. In college, as school became harder, i started again. I was prescribed adderall tablets by my doctor, and I have been taking that until September 2014. I am on Medicaid and having trouble finding a physician who takes it much less one that will treat for ADD. My phyciatrist that was treating me for my ADD & Anxiety up and left all of his patients last year, never to be seen again. I found another Dr within a couple weeks who was willing to continue my treatment. Then in April/May 2017,I lost my insurance, and there was no way I could afford the visit PLUS the medications. I take 30mg of Adderall 2x's a day and 2mg Xanax 3 x's a day (have all medication history for the past 2 years to back this up). Hi, does anyone know of any doctors in New Orleans that will prescribe Adderall IR 30mg? I used to get it when I lived in Manhattan, NYC from my regular physician. Since moving out here to NOLA, the doctors treat everyone like a drug addict making it very hard for people like me who aren't drug addicts and actually need the medication. My current Psychiatrist will only give me Adderall XR 30mg. It's doing nothing for me. The Adderall IR works better and is something like $40 cheaper than the XR.
