I have a bottle of Cyclobenzaprine HCL 5 mg, but it expired on 12/5/2015. With today's date being 11/28/2016, is it ok if I use some of that prescription until I get my new one refilled? ## Hello, Tina! My husband has a prescription for cyclobenzaprine from 2013 and is haveing an awful muscle spasm can he take one from his old prescription even though it is 2 years old? ## It doesn't become dangerous, once expired, but it does start to lose efficacy, so it most likely won't work as well as it did, when new. I don't know whether or not the drug you have happens to be one of these drugs from the study... (I have not seen the list of drugs used in this study). But I'd imagine that most types of medications would certainly be of interest upon making such claims. Is Flexeril similar to Roxcets? ## NO! Not the same type of drug at all. Flexeril is a muscle relaxant containing Cyclobenzaprine. Roxicet is a narcotic pain reliever containing Acetaminophen and Oxycodone. ## No Flexeril is a strong and good muscle reaxant, also causes sleepiness, Roxicet is a STRONG!!! Narcotic. ## I have flexeril that expired in 2007... can I still take it if the bottle says it should be yellow and its more of a peachish color....? No odor.
