Does Gabapentin Help With

The bottom of both of my feet have a burning sensation especially when I go to bed and I can't sleep. My pain dr. prescribed Gabapentin 300mg (1 before going to bed for a week and then 2 thereafter). I've just started taking it last night and I couldn't get to sleep, tossing off and on all night. My primary dr. prescribed Zolpidem for sleeping which makes me sleep and I don't feel the burning sensation. My question is, can I take both meds before bedtime? ## Continue zolpiden no need to take gabapentin. I think Feeling burning sensation on your foot because of sleeplessness. Was already on Gabapentin, low dose for Restless Legs when began having Nerve Problems in feet, and increasing unsteady gait. I have been taking gabapentin for almost 2 months now. My doctor gave it to me for migrain head aches, restless leg syndrome and anxiety. I take 300 mg at bedtime every night. About an hour after I wake up in the morning I'm very sick to my stomach which sometimes lasts all day long. I also can not keep my legs still. I bounce them all day. About 3 hours before I go to bed I get very irritated. Once I take my night dose it all goes away. Could this be from the gabapentin? I'm being taken off of Neurontin/Gabapentin after seven years. I'm now crying, anxious, and itching all over! I began taking Gabapentin for terrible nerve pain, tingling, and numbness in both legs, from the thigh to the knee, particularly when I'm lying down. I also feel one arm go completely numb when I keep it raised for any period of time. Example: holding up my Kindle to read, or my phone to play Words With Friends. I just took my second dose of gabapentin 100 mgs this morning. I was also prescribed hydrocodone 10/325. Is it safe for me to take the hydrocodone if it has been eight hours ago since I took the gabapentin? I know it takes a long time for gabapentin to get out of your system and I can't be too safe when mixing medications. I have severe restless feet. I take mirapex at night. I've started having severe restlessness in the morning now. I've been given gabapentin 100 mg during the day. It makes me tired and feel strange. I have taken a small dose of narco 2x a day and it works great. I've ran out now my feet are acting up again which makes life and travel miserable. Dr will not continue with narco even tho it works. as soon as I got off double doses of gabapentin(300x6), I got nausea every day for weeks. I have acis reflux, so we thought it was that; could this be a reaction to total withdrawal? ## Yes, if you did a sudden withdrawal, rather than tapering the dose, or even if you tapered, but stopped at a dose that was a bit too high for what your body could handle, it's possible that it could have caused it. It's not from the Zoloft. Your having gabapentin WD's and symptoms of interdose withdrawals IDK ## Hi! I am not sure who you were responding to, but in the future to make a response to someone's post, you can use the reply button directly under their post, so they will receive notification of your response. As to withdrawals, a person can experience them if they abruptly stop any medication that they've been taking for a long period of time. Thus, both Zoloft and Gabapentin can cause withdrawal issues, including the risk of seizures, which may be dangerous, as reported by the FDA. Other withdrawal effects may include dizziness, headache, irritability, mood swings, rebound depression, anxiety, insomnia and diarrhea. Is there anything I can help with?
