I have been taking diclofenac sod 75 mg ec tab twice a day for about a month, for arthritis in my ankle. It helps early in the day, but does not last until the next pill is due. How does diclofenac sodium enteric-coated (ec) 75mg tab compare to a percocet 5/325? Does it work the same and is it a narcotic / opiate? ## No, Diclofenac is actually classified as a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, it is used to treat pain, fever, and swelling. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding, and stomach irritation. So it also does not work the same. Has your doctor prescribed it for you? ## I need to know if Diclofenac Sodium Er 75 mg has Morphine in it? ## Hi Shaw - actually no, Diclofenac is its own drug completely different from Morphine. It is not even an opiate medication. Hope this helps!
