My doctor prescribed me this because I might have a tear in my meniscus. Diclofenac 75mg -2 times a day. My question is do I have to space it out by exactly 12 hours ? Or is it just a general idea? How serious would it be if I took it 8-9 hours later instead? Like say I was on my way to bed but messed up my morning dose time . Do I wait until the next morning ? ## Hello Kris, I hope you are having a wonderful day. First I want to ask exactly what the instructions on your medication states. If it says to administer your medication twice a day but does not specify a time frame then you may be able to take it 8-9 hours apart. If it does say specifically on the administration medication that you should take them 12 hours apart I would suggest doing so, or at least as close to that time fram...

Can Volfenac and/or Clonafec be used for arthritis? If not, what do you recommend? thank you ## @busdriver, Diclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medication that reportedly works by stopping the production of a substance in the body that causes inflammation/pain... The lower sphincter of my oesophagus won't relax to let food pass (achalasia?). My doctor prescribed nitrate (isordil), which works sometime but it gives me such a headache that i gave up on it. I have had headaches for about 30 years. I have been to many doctors and tried a dozen or so medications while spending well over $10,000 and having good insurance. Three years ago a neurologist proscribed Diclofinic pot 50. It worked like a charm! I was amazed. Now I get a letter saying effective 1/1/19 Humanna is not going to cover it, at all. Not put it another more expensive class but just not cover it at all. Does anyone know why? It’s not an opioid drug. They recommend Diclofinic sot? Never heard of it. Can someone please weigh in on this. I’m scared. ## Hello Kurtiss, According to the NIH Diclofenec pot 50 is simply a 50mg dose of diclofenac potassium, also known as cataflam. Is this for severe hip arthritis? Dr. 1 said I need immediate hip surgery. Dr 2 said arthritis, no immediate hip replacement needed. I am out of 50/50 codeine and diclofenaco. Diclofenaco is not working for the pain, even though the pain has reduced after 14 days post-injury. ## Hello, Diane! How are you? No, this medication contains a complex of B vitamins and a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory, so it isn't likely to help much with severe pain.
