My boy friend is coming off of pain killers , higher doses other known as oxys if he takes these 10mg yellow pills will this mess with him? He is on day 4 ## Cyclobenzaprine (Flexeril) is not an opiate, it is a muscle relaxer. ## @Vg (original poster), Please excuse me If I'm misinterpreting your post, as it's very difficult to make complete sense of certain details mentioned within your description re: "My boy friend is coming off of pain killers , higher doses other known as oxys". However, IF your boyfriend was ever intending on taking Cyclobenzaprine with Oxycodone, I personally wouldn't recommend doing so, since there are known drug interactions between the two medications. Specifically, causing an increased risk of side effects, such as drowsiness, difficulty b...

Generally prescribed in place of Carisoprodol (AZ 266 - round white pill, 3/8 diameter) because of its lower dose and other reasons; used mainly as a muscle relaxer, pain control and tranquilizer. AZ 266 can become addictive, while Cyclobenzaprine not so much. Look up either AZ 266 or Carisoprodol or Soma. ## Is Cyclobenzaprine the "street drug" known as "benzo's"? ## That is correct, Carisoprodol is a muscle relaxant, and is the active ingredient in Soma. It has been known to be abused, and to cause addiction in some people that take it. The typical side effects of this medication may include nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, headache, somnolence, and depressed mood, according to FDA reports. Risks of taking 140 milligrams cyclobenzaprine daily ## Hello, Lynn! How are you? That is far too high of a dosage. The maximum daily dose of this muscle relaxant is usually no more than 30mgs daily. Did your doctor prescribe this much? That amount may create an overdose risk.

i was wondering what the fatal dose of flexeril was.... ## Flexeril contains the active ingredient Cyclobenzaprine and the maximum daily dosage is 60mgs, split into 3 equal doses. However, what is fatal and causes an overdosage can vary from person to person, depending on their overall health and tolerance to the medication. But, if you stay at the prescribed dosage, you should be fine. Are there any questions or comments? ## be careful. i took 130mg of flexeril and blacked out for 12 hours. during this time i apparently drove to meet a friend for lunch - luckily my friend, initially thinking i was drunk, drove me home and stayed overnight with me. ## My friend took 4 flexaral will she be ok 10mg ## Hi Daisy, I was reading Your post was 1- 30mg tablet of flexeril and and was out for 12 ...

dan5658 ## need to know proper doseage and possible side affects ## This tablet is the generic version of Flexeril, called Cyclobenzaprine and is 10mgs. 10mgs is a normal dosage, for the regular release tablet. This type of tablet also comes in a 5mg dosage. There are extended release capsules available in 15 and 30mgs. As to the dosage appropriate for you, only your doctor can decide that.

i have dice, problems an siatic,,i think thay are good to sleep ,,but on a high dose,,7.5. ## Hi mando, Cyclobenzaprine is a pretty potent muscle relaxant and works by blocking pain sensations, so I can certainly see how it helps you get a good nights rest. Are you currently taking anything else with it? If you're into natural alternatives I'd recommend trying out lavender essential oil and mixing it with a lotion to rub onto your spine/back prior to sleeping. It may help promote healing in any areas that have inflammation related to disc problems. Lavender is also very calming and acts as a muscle relaxant too. Let me know if you'd like any more information on this!

Can 370 mg of this medication kill someone? ## From what I've read, the recommended dose of Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) is 5 to 10mgs three times daily; which would amount to 15 or 30 mgs total. I'm not sure why anyone in their right frame of mind would consider taking anything more than that, but 370mg is just ridiculous and careless in my opinion. Do you know if this person is even still alive right now or are you simply speaking hypothetically? In case of any overdose, you should probably be prepared to call your local poison control center or emergency hotline first and foremost. Waiting for a possible response on a forum may not be the best idea if the person you know really is dying from this overdose. I hope this helps!

My Doctor gave this to me. Its a free sample of a pain cream for the tendons in my wrists (I think she said I could also use it on my back for my scoliosis). I always look up side effects of any medication I use, but when I went to look it up I noticed it didn't have a name. It says "this medicine was specially compounded per your prescriber" on the side. I just want to know what this is so I can know the side effects before using it. Dose anyone know what this is? ## Hello, Anna! How are you? Is it like a lower tab. can i go to work on it? ## I've been taking Naproxen (500mg) for muscle spasms in my back. I take it with food and it still causes nausea and a bit of disorientation...I don't drive for a few hours after I've taken the pill. However, I do not take a Naproxen until I've come home from work. I find that a combination of Naproxen and Cyclobenzaprine (anti-inflammatory) will ease my discomfort in a matter of 2 - 3 days. ## Hello, I believe the next lowest dosage is 375mg. Naproxen also comes in lower dosages of 220, 250, and 275 mg. There's no way for me to know if u will be able to go to work on the 500 mg tab because everyone reacts to medication differently. If you're worried about that, maybe try the 375mg dose. If you were prescribed 500m...

My insurance company informed me that they will no longer cover prescription for Cyclobenzapr for patience over 65. Because of the problems seniors develop from this drug. My doctor did not know what they meant and said I could just pay for it and still get it. $4.00 at Walmart so I will continue but is the insurance co. correct or lying, is it dangerous for seniors, if so in what way? Very concerned! ## Hello, The concerns that your insurance company expressed may actually be valid. Based on my research, the FDA states that the use of Flexeril (Cyclobenzaprine) In the elderly may increase the frequency and severity of adverse events associated with or without concomitant medications and should be initiated with a 5 mg dose- then titrated slowly upward. That is the most pertinent inform...

It is always possible to experience some mild withdrawal symptoms like that, if you've taken something for a long period of time, or in a high dose, even if you only took it as prescribed. As listed by the FDA, you may also experience rebound pain, insomnia and diarrhea. It should improve soon, as your body adjusts to being without the Cyclobenzaprine.
