for gout use ## why is it that I cannon get a prescription filled for coltrazine? ## Well, it inhibits cell growth, slowly killing the body. It could be a liability issue. I'd say call your doctor and have them call it in somewhere for you. ## Just FYI for anyone else who may read this ... the drug is colchicine, not coltrazine. ## From what I've found, at one point there was a brand name for it that was Coltrazine, but yes the active ingredient is Colchicine. I am looking for coltrazine or a inexpensive equivalent for a family member with gout. they are one a very limited budget and need assistance getting medicine on a regular basis. ## A couple other prescription brand names you may want to consider looking into are Colchicine and Colcrys.
