I have Aorta Stinosis, in 14 days i am having open heart surgery to repair the aortic valve. My Doctor advised me to stop all anti coagulants (blood thinners), I take one 40mg ATORVASTATIEN (astorvastatien) once day. Do I continue with this medication prior to my operation. Thanking you. ## Hello, Leon! How are you? This medication so not a blood thinner, it is used to help lower cholesterol, but it would be best to double check with your cardiologist to be careful. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache and joint/muscle aches. Is there anything else I can help with?

I am interested in the Polycernol treatment mainly for the Prostate problems overnight. however I have problems with Atril Fibrillation (AF) and I am on, permanently, Warfarin, Oral Anticoagulant Therapy. Also Losarten blood pressure control tablets. Doctors are very wary of any medication not prescribed by my Medical Team. Is POLYCERNOL safe to take with my medical condition and medication I take? Assurance on compatibility would be needed for me to start. ## can I take polycernol treatment if I have AF atril fibrilation. taking oral warfarin anti coagulant and losarten for blood pressure control.

I’ve been told I can discontinue sintrom after taking it for three weeks the cardiologist said I can stop it and start taking eliquis 5 mg I thought you had to wean off sintrom but worried about ingesting another coagulant while sintrom is still in my system shall I wait five days of not taking a anticoagulant ie sintrom before starting the eliquis (Apixaban) ?

i found this pill what affects to the human body if its taken in small amouts i know its some sort of baceria and its used for cheese ## Hi brittany, Marschall M-50 is a brand of Vegetable Rennet (enzyme), used as a coagulant when producing cheese (to solidify the milk). Do you know someone who has consumed it directly? It is an organic product, and it is my guess that consuming a small amount by accident should be okay - however, in larger amounts, it would probably be good to check with your doctor if discomfort arises.

I have been on Xarelto since March of 2014 for bi lateral PEs. After a month or so, I had terrible joint pain for about 1.5 months, and then it seemed to have subsided. For the past 3 months or so, I get dizzy, nauseaus and my quadriceps seem to be achy. I have been tested for all types of auto immune diseases and all are negative. I just feel pretty cruddy everyday. I am a 44 year old male and have a blood clotting disorder and likely to be on anti coagulants for my lifetime. All I do is seem to suffer and my doctor states it's not Xarelto casuing any of this... Does anyone have similar issues? Starting taking 15mg (2x daily) of Xarelto approx 2 weeks ago. Skin itching started EN, no rash. Benedryl does help a little. Then the headahes began. Now, toes, feet, ankles and hands (I look like I have "Miss Piggy's hands in the a.m.) and must remain propped in bed in pillows to get relief. I'm 56, retired law enforcement, non-smoker, very seldom drink but did have total knee replacement surgery 9 months ago. What the hell happened!? I'm retired, divorced and on a fixed income and was told that I was basically a walking time bomb....that he (the hemotologist) was going to have to keep me on anti-coagulants for at least next 9 months, with a repeat CT Scan w/contrast scheduled for 6 months from now to see if the body has absorbed them.
