What would happen if candid b cream is accidentally ingested? ## Candid B is a local "skin application" that consists of Clotrimazole and betamethasone; it is effective for localized fungal infections such as Ring worm. I don't think ingesting the cream is a very good idea to say the least and may even cause more harm than good since it is not an oral medication. Keep in mind that Candid B is not effective in widespread fungal infections. For wide spread fungal infections one would need to take "oral" anti-fungal treatments. In addition, it is not very effective in fungal infection of the nails. As far as side effects go, Clotrimazole and Betamethasone can cause skin irritation. Some people can get allergic reactions but it is quite rare. Mild burning sensation, redn...

can I use it on my face and how often can I apply it ## Looks like this is used to treat swelling and skin rashes due to infections. It has the following ingredients: Clotrimazole IP, Beclomethazone Dipropionate IP (Benzyl Alcohol IP, Methylparaben IP , Propylparaben IP) Cream Base. Being a topical creme, it should have safety instructions on how and where to apply it. If it does not say where to apply it, it may be ok to try starting off with a small amount on your face to see how well you react to it and bas your decision off of that test. Also, If this is a filled prescription, your doctor should have given you instructions of some sort; you should contact your doctor or local pharmacy if you experience any undesirable side effects associated with the application of this creme. The m...

I have this Tinea Versicolor for 4 years but there is no improvment till date. ## Hi Sai, Based on my research, Candid (Clotrimazole) is reported to be an anti-fungal medication/cream, commonly prescribed for the treatment of fungal infections; which is exactly what "tinea versicolor" is (just on a more chronic level, if you will). The US National Library of Medicine also states that this condition is generally "treated" (NOT cured) by applying anti-fungal medicine (such as Clotrimazole) to the skin or by taking it orally. Ref: ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth/PMH0002436/#adam_001465.disease.treatment So it sounds to me like it'd be worth trying if nothing else has worked over the last 4 years. I also wanted to add that because this condition is caused by a type of yeas...
