Is ciprofloxacin available over the counter in Mexico? It's my antibiotic of choice for my semi-frequent UTIs, and I would like to start keeping a small stock on hand so that I don't have to take it to the gyno every single time. I know someone out there knows what I'm talking about. Thanks. ## I am in the same boat as you and I just ordered a Cipro online. It came from India and I'm trying to find out if it is the same as what the doctor prescribes. it is orange in color not white. But an answer to your question yes I am sure they carry them in Mexico so stock up because I understand what a pain it is to have to go to the doctor every time :) good luck

What is the typical dosage per day of cipro for a uti for a 75 yr old woman? I am taking 500 mg twice a day and now have back flank pain on my right side after taking it for 5 days. ## That is a normal dosage for treating a UTI, however, at your age you may experience more severe side effects than someone younger. The FDA lists other typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea. How are you feeling, now? Has there been any change?

I need some help. I have a kidney infection. I have been on methadone for 18 years. I have been told that you can't mix the two together. They said it would put me in withdrawal as it would kill the methadone in me. If anyone knows about this I would appreciate it very much. ## I would also like to know if you can take Methadone and Ciprofloxacin mixed together? ## What kinds of pharmaceutical drugs cannot be mixed with ciprofloxacin? ## Can I take ciprofloxacin if I have kidney stones? ## I am also on methadone but I only take 5 mg a day which is nothing. If you take a higher dose I would probably not take ciprofloxacin, but if you're on a pretty low dose it's fine. I am on Cipro about every two months because of UTIs.

Usual dosage ## Before a recent trip I had miexd three types of pills in one bootle. Now I can't identify the Cipro which I need for a UTI. The pill I think is Cipro is round and white and says CF on one side Capital letter G on the other. Is there a way to identify pills. Thnaks ## Yes, CF G is 250mgs of Ciprofloxacin, the antibiotic. I was prescribed cipro for a 3rd time friday for recurring uti (over 2 yr period) first 2 times ok, but had flare up of tendenitis. This time, however, after 4 days of 500mg twice daily, I hv developed leg tremors, night sweats, severe anxiety, wake up faithfully after only 3 hrs sleep, upper right abdominal pain, nausea to the point of not eating, and almost constant pain in back on right side. Feel so bad I scheduled ultrasound w/ a friend of mine tomorrow to make sure nothing more serious is going on. I am so worried its my liver or pancreas...I am constantly cking my eyes for jaundice. I went to the emergency clinic and determined I have severe UTI. I was prescribed phenazopyridine 200mg and cipro 250mg for a three day treatment. I'm just I tie day two and I am absolutely miserable. Painful and requiring urinantion. I do t know what else to do as I'm exhausted and in severe discomfort... ## Hello, Megan! How are you? The usual antibiotic used for UTIs is Nitrofurantoin, however, it may not have been appropriate for the bacteria they found causing your infection. The typical antibiotic side effects, as reported by the FDA, may possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. Has the Phenazopyridine helped, at all?

I was prescribed cipro to treat a uti. I stopped taking it after 3 days due to tendinitis symptoms. Today, 2 days after I stopped taking cipro I noticed that all of my fingernails on both hands are dark pink. Could this be another side effect such as kidney damage? ## Hello, KM! How are you? Some antibiotics can cause a discoloration of the nails, it's usually nothing to worry about and will eventually go away on its own. However, it wouldn't hurt to have it checked out by your doctor, to be safe. Other side effects as listed by the FDA may include nausea, dizziness, diarrhea and non-allergic skin rash. I was diagnosed with a UTI and prescribed Naloxone 2 tabs 4x a day for 5 days + Cipro 1 tab. 2 x day for 7 days. I am getting headaches and think it's from the Naloxone. Would I be ok to stop the Naloxone and continue with the Cipro. I've been on this course of meds for 3 days.

I have respiratory issue and was put on doxycycline as I was going into bronchitis or pneumonia. A week after that I got diagnosed with a UTI but at that same time found out I had a tooth abscess. I was told by the regular doctor and dentist to be careful of taking too many antibiotics. I finished the Cipro about 7 days ago and still dealing with teeth problems (two teeth had root canals and 1 extraction). I contacted the dentist and he said to try and go as long as possible without taking the Amoxicillin. I need some help/advice/guidance because I'm honestly at a loss as to what is going on with me. At the beginning of the year I had gone to the ER and they said that I had a UTI and prescribed me Cipro and Pyridium to take for a week or so. I was prescribed Cipro for a UTI. However after 2 days I started having numbness/tingling in my hands and feet. The doctor said to stop taking the pills. I took Cipro for a UTI and within 24 hrs of starting it began to have issues with breathing and energy and balance. After finishing the drug things got worse. And the thing that bothers me most is that my Dr. rx'ed the drug for a UTI BEFORE getting the lab work... the bacteria was e-coli.... and Cipro didn't kill it!!! I still had the UTI.... Meanwhile it is now 7 months since I took the drug and I'm still having massive issues with balance and extreme fatigue. I have a friend who took it and lost his color vision for 2 yrs. He also experienced balance issues, brain fog and extreme fatigue. I have 2 prescriptions, cipro 500mg was rx’d for UTI, went somewhere else this time and the rx says cipro 250 HCL also for UTI. Is HCL in all cipro? ## Hello, Sue! How are you?
