can i give a dose if bllod pressure is high and am not sure patient tokk second dose as required? ## if patients blood pressure is high and i am not sure he took second dose is required can i give him dose now? ## Consulting their doctor, in such a situation, is always advisable. It is possible that the current dosage is not controlling their high blood pressure and they may need a medication adjustment. Carvedilol is a beta blocker, so there can be dangers if you give them more of it, without their doctor's approval. It can lower the heart rate significantly in some people. Are there any other questions?

I refilled my rx for Carvedilol recently. It came in a bubble pack marked RX CARVEDILOL, CARCA-6.25. The pills are pink, round, and flat. One side is scored with Intas, the other side has C5 printed on it. It supposed to be a sunset yellow color, not what I was expecting (I've taken the yellow pills for 2 years). ## Since Carvedilol is a generic medication, it is manufactured by several different companies, and each company's product may look different, be sized differently, depending on the precise formula they use during manufacturing. There is no uniform way they all have to make them look. However, if you received it from a legitimate pharmacy, as a refill, then there is no reason to worry. Have you tried taking it, yet? The FDA lists the typical side effects of Carvedilol a...

Taking 6.25 mg carvedilol 2 times a day. Have terrible headache. Is this a serious side effect? Have never had headaches. ## Carvedilol is a non-selective beta blocker that's most commonly used to treat hypertension and some cardiac conditions. Usually, such side effects should wear off after 4 to 6 weeks, once your body gets used to the medication. However, if they headaches are very severe, or don't start to taper off, then you should talk to your doctor as you may need to try a different medication. what pharmacy can I find this pill at, R 254 in chesapeake, virginia or close by, thank you, audrey mims ## I'm sorry, but we have no way of knowing what medications, from any given manufacturer, any pharmacy may have in stock at any given time. Such information would be very dynamic and difficult to keep track of, anyway. The tablet you mentioned is manufactured by Dr. Reddy's Laboratories, Inc. Have you tried asking your pharmacy if they can order it in for you?

Is it safe to take Carvedilol 25mg if the discard date was three months ago? Will they still be effective? ## They do not become dangerous, but they may have lost some efficacy, so it would be best to speak to your doctor about obtaining a new supply. The FDA lists this medication as possibly causing side effects, such as nausea, headache, dizziness, hypotension, and increased urination. How does this medication work for you? When I was taking it, I suffered a severe worsening of my Raynaud's Syndrome/Disease.... I listed both, because what the FDA is calling it at any given time is subject to change. LOL Sometimes it's a syndrome, other times it's a disease, again. Anyway, there were days my hands and feet would go numb and hurt, in perfectly nice weather, so I had to switc...

I have been on carvedilol 12.5 mg twice a day for about 2 months and am wondering if it might be the cause of what i would describe as mild to major panic attacks as soon as i wake up. They are scary. I am filled with a sense of doom. I am tired but get up ,drink some coffee and toast and start moving. This helps. I am also being treated with wellbutrin for depression (low dose as well as lorazepam. This all scares me and i need help figuring what is triggering these attacks. I recently had a ICD biventricular pace maker put in because of CHF which was diagnosed some 6 months ago. Prior to carvedilol my DR. had me taking metoprolol which gave me nightmares and disturbed sleep. So he switched me to carvedilol. I also high hypothyroidism and take levothyroxine for that. I most always feel...

I take Carvedilol which states that the mfg. is "ZYDU". What is the correct name of this manufacturer and where are they located? ## Zydus Pharmaceuticals Their U.S. headquarters is in Pennington, New Jersey, but they do also have facilities in India. However, regardless of where a medication is manufactured, if it is available to be prescribed in the U.S., then it has met the same strict FDA manufacturing, safety, and efficacy standards as all other prescription medications. Carvedilol may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension. Ref: Carvedilol Information Is there anything else I can help with?

I have been on Carvedilol since December. It's better than Bisoprolol was. My side effects still are sometimes I get so cold I can't get warm no matter how many blankets I have on me, etc. Wheezing after walking a short distance, I never used to have that. Some days I feel down right useless. I felt so much better before beta blockers. Is there anything that won't cause wheezing? Currently I'm on 6.25 mg twice a day. Oh and I have no libido, I told my husband I'm gonna buy him a dead fish! ## I had the same issues, when taking Carvedilol, though I didn't have a husband then, so that part wasn't a concern. But the FDA does list these issues as being common side effects. However, due to being cold so often, I finally had to switch to Losartan. The U.S. FDA list...

## I was prescribed a bottle of carvedilol 12.5 and it has expired as of 1 month ago. I would like to know if it is safe to take? ## This medication is most commonly used to treat high blood pressure and certain cardiac conditions. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, hypotension, and increased urination. It does not become dangerous, once expired, but it may lose efficacy and not work as well as it did, when new. It would be best to dispose of it and see your doctor for a new prescription. my son takes the carvedilol, I take the metoprolol. I'm out of meds until tom. Can I sub the carvedilol for the metoprolol ## Hello, Thadmc4! How are you? That is a question that only your doctor can answer for you. There can be rebound effects, if you miss a dose of your current medication, so when switching to or substituting another, you have to make sure that it's an equivalent dose. In the future, you should make sure to always pick up your refill, before you run out. This is not a controlled substance, so you should be able to pick it up a day or two early from your pharmacy. Is there anything else I can help with?

I've noticed that about a half an hour after taking my dose, my bladder starts leaking. I asked my cardiologist about it but she had not heard that before. My primary doctor suggested that this could be a side affect. ## Hello, Sandy! How are you? Yes, though it isn't common, the FDA does report that it has been known to occur in some women that take this medication. Other side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache and hypotension. You may need to speak to your cardiologist about trying a different medication. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Thank you so much! I knew I wasn't imagining this! ## I also have been having major bladder problems never though it could be from taking carvedilol

Have cardiomyopathy Is it safe to take lady era and carvedilol ## Hello, Kaz! How are you? Please do not combine these medications, without your doctors express approval. Doing so may result in your heart rate and blood pressure going too low, which could result in coma and/or death. The typical side effects for Carvedilol, as listed by the FDA, may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination and hypotension. Is there anything else I can help with?

I would like to know if I can take my carvedilol, lisinopril and amox/k clav 875-125 together? I'm worried the medications will interact. ## Has your doctor instructed you to take them and were they aware of the others you were taking, when they prescribed the antibiotic? The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea. Additionally, it is far more risky to let an infection continue out of control, than it is to take an antibiotic with the other medications to eradicate it.

I had a heart attack 6 months ago and my doctor put me on Carvedilol 6.25 mg. My pharmacy used the pills made by Solco Healthcare. They changed manufacturer's to ZYDUS Pharmeceuticals this month and it doesn't keep my blood pressure down as good. I can't seem to find a pharmacy near me that carries the Solco Healthcare brand of Carvedilol 6.25mg. How can I find a pharmacy anywhere that carries that? I tried calling their home office in NewJersey and was told they don't know as they sell to drug wholesalers who in turn sell to the pharmacies. ## I am very sorry about the problem you're having, however, the only thing you can do is call around or visit different pharmacies to ask. The medication a pharmacy carries, at any given time, can vary depending on who was offer...

I am currently taking Lisinopril 10MG and Carvedilol 12.5MG in the morning and my blood pressure remains high normally at 144/79. If I double up would it reduce my blood pressure? ## That is not a dangerously high level, and you should not take more than your doctor has instructed you to take, when the medications were prescribed. How long have you been taking them? It can take awhile for them to reach their full level of efficacy in your body to fully lower your blood pressure. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension. ## I accidentally took an extra Corug 25 mg tonight 3 hours ago. Carvedilol is prescribed by US doctors, but I would like to know if there's an Indian medicine equal to this US version? ## From what I could gather, there's an Indian brand of Carvedilol that goes by the name "Caditone". This medication is reportedly manufactured by a company called Kopran ltd. based out of Mumbai, India. There is also a brand called Carviflo made by Ajanta, out of India. If I come across any other brand or generic versions I'll be sure to post back. Until then, I hope these two options will suffice. Best of luck to you!
