I have a lousy cold (heavy coughing, headache,very weak,). Doctor gave me this medication. I take meds for HBP, cholestorol, thyroid. Is this ok to take for this. Im 79 ## He gave you an antibiotic to treat cold symptoms? That really makes no sense, a cold is caused by a virus and this will nothing to clear it up or treat the symptoms. This will only help if you have a bacterial infection of some type. Learn more Bactrim details here. Additionally, this is a sulfa based antibiotic and it is notorious for causing crazy side effects, that coupled with your age and high blood pressure means it may cause you some problems if you have a bad reaction to it. Can you take it with mexolicam for nausea I taken sulfamethoxazole for urinary infection but I have nauseas e lost apetite so maybe I cold take mexolicam for nausea e pain ## Meloxicam will not do anything to help with nausea, as a matter of fact, it could actually just make that worse, since it can also cause it as a side effect. Meloxicam is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory that's used to treat pain, fever and swelling, other side effects to it may include dizziness, headache and stomach irritation. Okay so I got a staff assess drained about a week ago and started on sulfamethoxazole dm or ds tablet and I developed a fever about 2 days ago and I've been itchy all over for 2 days now I have also been experiencing the feeling of things crawling on me and extreme anxiety attacks and weird cold and hot flashes. Are these side effects or am I allergic to the medication? Should I go see my doctor even though I saw him about 2 or 3 days ago before the itching started. I do not take drugs, I had to take a drug test, and it showed up as if i was taking benzo's(I guess things such as valium and xanax). Where you taking anything else?
