Can I Drink While On Phenazopyridine

Around 7pm today I started experiencing UTI like symptoms. This time last year, 2/15/16, I was also treated for a UTI and was prescribed phenazopyridine and sulfamethoxazole. I was waiting an hour while drinking glasses and glasses of water before I knew it was a UTI. Once I determined it was, I had one of each of my old prescriptions, until I can go pick up a new one tomorrow morning. However, the phenazopyridine doesn't seem to be relieving my symptoms, and the pain when I urinate is getting worse. My urine is also yellow, not orange. Even from the beginning to now. Is it because the prescription is just over a year old? Any suggestion?
