I have a few questions about Adderall and the exact perscription I am taking. I'm brand new to adderall and would like much more info! I'm on my fourth month of my prescription, This is my first month taking 10mg twice a day I take one at 6 am and before 12pm. What do ya'll think of this prescription...is there a difference in brand and generic? What is everyone's experiences with this drug? Do you recommend something different? I need to know if Teva is still making this orange tablet imprint 15 on one side and b777 on the other. I read some where that this tablet is IR & not XR bc for the last couple years I thought my doc. script me XR. I guess it had to do with my insurance. I decided to go back on Adderall again after being off for 6 months. Bad idea, of course I gained weight(10lbs), couldn't pay attention, zoned out,very unmotivated & distracted. I take generic Adderall 20 mg for narcolepsy and there is not one local pharmacy that has it in stock. I have never had this problem before. The pharmacies are saying that it's on backorder from the manufacturer. Is anyone else having problems getting their scripts filled? ## I live in Southern NH. I can't find a pharmacy anywhere around here that can get Adderall in any dose from Teva and Barr Pharmaceuticals. My psychiatrist was apparently completely unaware of this situation when he wrote the prescription earlier today, 10/18/2011. I run out in 4 days but am on a very low dose (5mg twice a day) so I may be able to wean off of it safely by cutting back to 5mg once a day, then nothing. I wonder how many people taking higher doses are going to have major problems with withdrawal...

Has anyone used the Mallinckrodt. I have never even heard of it, and have taken the other generics with moderate success;. This brand is horrible. Very weak. I have been taking Dexedrine (Dextroamphetamine Sulfate XR) for 3 years now and it has always looked the same: clear and dark brown manufactured by BARR, imprinted with the same and the numbers 956. Two months ago the medication I received was blue. I was stupid and didn't think twice about it only to be called by the pharmacy and told I had been given Adderall by mistake at the end of the month. The following month my medication was back to the usual clear and brown. This month I have been given blue pills again. They gave them to me in a bottle that says "Dextroamphetamine Sulf ER 15MG" as it should, they scratched out "BARR" and wrote "Global" on the manufacturer part. I understand, I have had a similar problem with some generics myself, due to the fluctuations they are allowed to have. What I'd suggest is asking your QFC pharmacist if they can order the one from Barr/Teva in for you. I know they carry their products, two of my prescriptions were switched to the ones manufactured by Teva a few months ago from my local QFC which isn't too far from you. If you use their pharmacy regularly, you'll find that QFC can be very helpful and accommodating. I have been taking adderall for over 10 years now. Started with Sandoz, which I have found to work the best. All the pharmacies I have been to have moved to other brands (Barr, Teva). They are ok. Does anyone know of any pharmacies in the Richmond, Va area that still carry Sandoz 20mg IR? I was taking Barr Dextroamphetamine Sulfate for 12 years. This medication was a miracle drug for me as it lowered my blood pressure, increased my focus, attention, and breathing. About three years ago, my medication "disappeared" without warning or notice. No one would tell me the truth until I found my drug at a pharmacy two hours away. After receiving the medication twice, the pharmacist said he could no longer get it for me because my $50 generic shot up to $500 overnight. Does brand name 10mg Adderall have a new design? Picked up my Rx yesterday and pill is blue. One side is scored and says 10. The other side, rather than saying AD, has a symbol which looks sort of like a figure 8, or perhaps a letter S with a line through it. Pharmacy says these are brand name Adderall. I was taking Adderall XR Barr, I didn't like it! Then shire XR which was way better. I could focus, study, multi task, pay attention etc.....Then my psychiatrist switched me to instant release. I normally get my perscription for my Adderall 20mg Tab filled at Walgreens. They said the warehouse sends them whatever they choose (Barr or Teva) which I am allergic to. I have ADD and my mind just is racing as I have been without my medicine, I have tried those other brands and immediaetly hives break out and massive headache. How can I find a solution to this? I just got these today. Normally get barr. I can tell these are a bit more mellow compared to how barr will kick in. It's only been 1 day so I will see how it goes. I have been on Adderall 30 mg BID for years but can only take the COR generic and in my area all we have is Barr. I had a very bad emotional recation to it.
