Dr. gave me this Apo- 500. During treatment it is OK but no more medicine. I m sailing and far away from doctor. What is this disease. Is it due to wind or gastric. Is there any side effect if use long term on Apo-500. ## I'm sorry, but from just the basic information in a post on the internet, no one is going to be able to give you a definitive diagnosis on what is causing your problem. There are many possibilities and they require medical tests to confirm which one it is. And yes, there can be problems if you use the Naproxen for a long period of time. It is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammato...

I got the prescription in Jul 2009. There is no expiry date on the bottle. Is it still safe to take it after 4 years? ## Hi, Milica! Once the factory seal on a bottle of tablets has been broken, the expiration date is one year from the date you received it from your pharmacy. Naproxen doesn't get dangerous after it has expired, but it will start to lose potency, which means that after 4 years, they are virtually worthless and should just be disposed of properly. Is there anything else I can help with? ## My name nargis my naproxen tablets 9Aug 2015 its safe

Filled at pharmacy on May 27, 2011. Are these still good to use for bursitis? ## Hi Maggie, Based on my research, you shouldn't take expired prescriptions. There is a reason that there is an expiration date on them. Not only do they LOSE most, if not all potency, the expired pills could surely affect your liver in a toxic way. Please post back if you have any more questions so I can further assist you!

Apo-Naproxen. This drug is elevating my blood pressure I have taken four 500 mg over 3 days how long does this take to get out of my system ## It could take a few days, before things return to normal. However, for future reference you should be aware that nonsteroidal anti-inflammatories can cause elevated blood pressure, as well as fluid retention, as side effects, as reported by the U.S. FDA, along with nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding and stomach irritation. How much were you taking and how long were taking it?

My prescription is dated january 2016 is it still good? ## Can i take naproxen dated 2016 is it still good to use for pain ## Hello Gigi, The short answer is no. The long answer is that the expiration date could mean multiple things ranging from the expectancy of the medication to maintain it's maximum level of potency. In some cases the medication would still be good but just not as effective as it was prior to the expiration date. On the other hand, some medication contains active ingredients and inactive ingredients that may deteriorate and make the medication react differently with you. Regardless of the safety of the medication, it will not be able to perform it's intended function at a desirable level and should be disposed of at your local drug drop off. If you feel like ...

I am allergic to sulfa. I have been taking Aleve and now I itch all over. I even have a sunburn sensation. ## It is possible that you are also allergic to Aleve/Naproxen. Generally, when someone is allergic to one medication, they usually find others that they are also allergic to, according to NIH reports. Other symptoms of an allergy could include swelling, trouble breathing, headache, and dizziness. Has there been any change? Have you consulted your doctor? ## Hi i had an allergic reaction after taking prescribe APO-NAPROXEN. I am allergic to aspirin and sulfa.

How long does it take to work and can you take Advil with it? ## Before I can answer this, I need to know if the APO and 500 are on the same side of the tablet or opposites? Also what country is it from? ## Do any other letters appear on the inscription or opposite side of the pill such as MET, CIP, GAB ?? If NOT ... I have searched around and so far the closest pill which I have found to resemble your description is: " Each yellow, capsule-shaped, biconvex tablet, scored and identified 'APO 500' on one side, contains naproxen 500 mg " [1] So my best guess at this point is that it is called Apo-naproxen from Canada, containing, of course, Naproxen 500 mg as stated above. If that sounds like what you have then you should NOT take Advil with it, as Advil (Ibuprofen) is ano...

found it in my daugters purse, what is it used for? ## does anyone have an idea what it is? i heard, it could be ZANEX. ## No its not Zanax, I think its a muscle relaxant!! ## Actually it is an anti-inflamatory ## I'm pretty sure the pill you're talking about is a generic version of anaprox, she's probably using it for menstrual cramps, I know that's what my girlfriend uses them for. ## this is used for period cramps. ## It's naproxen (or prescription aleve lol) Not Xanax or a muscle relaxant. It's in the same family as advil. (antiinflammatory) A lot of girls take them for period cramps. But they could also be for other pains such as toothaches, headaches and general pulls (etc) Did you think of asking your daughter what she is taking? ## It is used for cramps I...

round white-ish pill, blank on side, APO imprint on back with 750 on bottom, scored ## This tablet contains 750mgs of Naproxen, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medication. You can read more on it here: Is there anything else I can help you with? ## I believe you are referring to a pill that is scored with APO at the top and T50 (not 750) on the bottom. If this is correct, he pill you are referring to is called Trazodone 50mg. It is most commonly used in conjuction with SSRI's (Selective Seritonin Reuptake Inhibitors) like Prozac to treat depression and anxiety. Please consult a health care professional before taking this or any other prescription medication which was not intended for yourself as there are side effects associated with this medication as well as interaction dangers.

The pill is an orange peach colour oval shape with 250 on one side and APO on the other side. I think it might be Naproxen but I want to be sure. ## The closest match I've been able to locate is that of a pink oval pill marked with "APO-250" on one side and blank on the other. It is identified as Erythromycin (250 mg); Manufactured by Apotex, Canada. Erythromycin is a macrolide antibiotic used for people who have an allergy to penicillins. Learn More: Erythromycin Details I know it doesn't exactly fit your description, but perhaps it can help to narrow down any viable options during your search. Has anyone else seen this pill before? ## Hmm it wouldn't be Erythromycin. I am deadly allergic to it so it wouldn't be in my house. I made the mistake of putting a bunch...

I have a yellow capsule that says APO 500 on one side. I also have another yellow capsule that can come apart and its says APO 250 on one side. Does anyone know what these pills are? ## Hello, Jonesy! How are you? From what I can find, the first one with the APO 500marking contains 500mgs of Naproxen Sodium, which is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory that's used to treat pain, fever and swelling. Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding and stomach irritation. However, so far, I've been unable to find an identification for the other one. But I'll keep looking and post back, when I have information for you. Does anyone else recognize the capsule?

yellow oblong apo 500 only other side nothing. It is a pill with a film kinda. ## THIS IS NOT A MUSCLE RELAXANT! This tablet contains 500mgs of Naproxen Sodium, a generic for Naprosyn, this is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory. ## So it can be used as a pain reliever for menstral cramps tho. I took it lastnight .. helped my cramps, and stiff muscles ## Yes, NSAIDs are often prescribed for menstrual cramps. To give you a better idea of what you are taking, this class of medication also includes Ibuprofen (Advil or Motrin) and Acetaminophen (Tylenol.) ## K thanks :)
