I HAVE DARK PINK "AMBIEN" OVAL PILLS MARKED 5 mg. I HAVE HAD LIGHT PINK IN THE PAST. IS THE DARK PINK ONE THE SAME? ## can I cut the above in half? ## Hi marcie, If you got your Ambien pills from a "legitimate" drug store like CVS, Rite Aid, or Walgreens, there shouldn't be much, if any discrepancy between batches of pills from a particular manufacturer. However, it's not uncommon for some manufacturers to change the color of a pill at their own discretion without any prior notice. To answer your other question, a score line (divit) usually indicates whether or not you can cut a tablet in half. Without that, I probably wouldn't suggest doing anything to alter it - unless your doctor says otherwise. Do you notice any difference at all in how the dark pink tabl...

I recently filled my ambien prescription from the Internet. white oval pills with amb 10 on one side and 5421 on the other. The pills have a sweet taste however, not the usual bitter taste of zolpidem and I don't really feel any effects. I am worried they are not good. Can anyone help? ## Those are the markings for a legitimate 10mg Ambien tablet. However, if you ordered from a source that doesn't require a prescription, then it's always possible to receive fake pills, that's just one of the hazards of ordering that way. Are there any other questions or comments? ## I also filled my ambien rx online, they have same markings and a sweet taste with slight bitter. They DO NOT work. Not sure what to do or what i have now ingested. Anybody know about this? ## You probably sho...

The tablet with the PLIVA 434 marking contains 100mgs of Trazodone, which is an antidepressant that is also sometimes used to treat insomnia. However, it's not going to work like your Ambien and should not be taken without your doctor's approval, It may also cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and weight gain. Is there anything else I can help with?

Can you safely take ambien CR while on MS Contin ER 60 mgs? The ms contin makes me sleepy but I still can't fall asleep. I've been taking ambien cr for over a year. My pain Dr. just switched hydrocodone for MS Contin.. any information on this combination will be appreciated. Thanks ## Hello, Heather! How are you doing? It would be best to double check with your doctor, before combining these medications. They both cause depression of the central nervous system, which may be problematic for some people. This might cause dangerously lowered heart rate, blood pressure and breath rate, which could lead to coma or be fatal. The FDA classifies MS Contin as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsines...

Hi. Kinda stressed over tapering off of ambien under my doctors supervision. Tonight I start taking 3/4 ambien for a week then 1/2 for a week and then 1/4/for a week. I'm dreading it and very concerned I won't sleep at all. I've taken it for about 2 years. He anticipates my sleep being disturbed more heavily by the time I get to 1/4. Has anyone done this before. What can I expect. Arg. I'm thinking it's going to be horrible. But currently with it I'm can't sleep past 6 hours at all. And feel kinda numb emotionally during the day. Thanks ## I forgot to add. I take 10 mg. ## Hello, Ajs! How are you? I understand your concern and yes, you will most likely have trouble sleeping for awhile, until your body gets used to being without the medication. I am wondering if there have been cases where more than 10 mg ambien is needed to sleep. How much is too much? ## Ambien contains the active ingredient Zolpidem, it is usually used for the short term treatment of insomnia. The problem with it is that all of these types of medications can be habit forming, thus you should only use it as prescribed. If your current dosage is not working for you, then please speak to your doctor, there are other options available, including a time released Ambien, called Ambien CR. Some common side effects can include: nausea, hallucinations, euphoria and loss of libido, all of which can be aggravated if you take higher doses, as well. Using a 5mg tab once at bedtime. Can the pill be cut in half to lower the dosage ? ## I am prescribed 10 mg. of Ambien and often cut/break them in half to lower the dose. Works just fine. ## Yes you can cut it in half if it works for you. You can even have it prescribed in a lower dose (I think that it comes in 5), but if you use it long-term it would be more cost effective judt to break it in half. ## Just to add a safety warning for anyone else seeking such information… Cutting, breaking or crushing a pill is only safe to do if it is not a time released formulation. You can only do this safely with regular release medications. If you see something on your prescription label such as ER, XR, SR, CR, DR or any warning not to crush, chew, break or etc. then there is a rea...

As of Dec 2010, both Ambien & Ambien CR 6.25 mg are available in USA as generic. For some reason the FDA didn't approve the 12.5 mg CR version. The pharmacy I use in India won't sell any versions of any hypnotic. They must be afraid people will abuse them. ## Well, even in the U.S. there are concerns about abuse and addiction, so it is only approved for the short-term treatment of insomnia and is usually only prescribed to be taken, as needed, for 4 to 6 weeks, at most. It has also been known to cause some problematic side effects, such as: hallucinations, memory loss, sleep eating and impairment of judgment. Learn more: Are there any questions or comments?

Dark pink in colour. Oblong shape. No markings apart from an indentation line one one side of the tablet. 10 mg Zolpidem tartate tablets is the name stated on packaging. Shipped from India. Lic.No. 1752-OSP ## Without any markings, it is impossible to verify what it is. Since it is from outside the U.S. it can sometimes be hard even if it does have markings on it. The only real option you have would be to pay to have it lab tested. Did you order these online?

How do ambien 10mg pills compare to mirtazapine 15mg? Are they as strong as the ambien? ## You really can't compare the two, since they are in different medication classes. However, the Mirtazapine can be helpful for treating insomnia, depression, and anxiety, according to the FDA. Its typical side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, mood swings, and weight changes. But, the only way to find out if it will help you is by trying it. Have you started taking them, yet?

Does anyone know if Ambien (Zolpidem) 10 mg from Mexico comes in a round 1/4", lightish orange tablet (white inside). Scorned on one side and unmarked on the other side? Does anyone know if there is a Mexican pill identifier website? How can I tell if they are real or is Zolpidem 10mg even made like that? Has anyone taken these from Mexico? Did they work ok? ## Unfortunately, when you order from a foreign source, those are the hazards associated with it. There is no way of knowing exactly what you have received, unless you would pay to have it lab tested. And no, there is no Mexican drug identification website. Their medications are not regulated like those in the U.S., so there is no repository of their imprints, colors or etc. I am sorry, I wish I could help more. Has anyone actua...
