Allegra False Positive On Drug Test

I was told I failed a drug screen and must take all medications in to check them. I take advair, ipratropium, and albuterol inhaler for asthma. I also take allegra D and benadryl for allergies. I sometimes take an over the counter diet pill called phentramin D. Would any of these cause false positives on a standard UA? ## What did you fail for? Was it opiates, amphetamines, or something else? The Diphenhydramine in Benadryl can cause false positives for Benzodiazepines, PCP and tricyclic antidepressants. It could also be something in the Phentramin_D, but I can't find a listing that includes the exact ingredients. I am on random drug testing for probation and got a letter in the mail from my p.o saying I failed for amphetamines on the 13th of October. I was sick, and not working on the 11th or 12th. I took some OTC medication for my cold. I took some Allegra D and some Day Quil. Will this cause a false positive? How do I go about disputing this. I can't loose my job for going to jail, and certainly am not getting locked up for doing s drug I never would do, nor know where to even find it. What do I do, should I get an attorney? ## Did they send the sample out to a lab for additional testing? Doing so should determine exactly what you took and rule out any false positives. I had a pre-employment 10 panel urine test done at LabCorp and resulted through e-Drug Test. I was taking oxycontin, adderall, allegra, seroquel and clonazepam. It resulted positive for amphetamines (from the adderall) and negative for benzodiazepines (although my use of clonazepam was daily and long term). The problem is it tested POSITIVE for propoxyphene. I simply do not understand it. I even paid to have it sent to a second lab to be retested because I had never taken propoxyphene (darvocet, darvon, etc). It was positive at the second lab as well. Propoxyphene was taken off the market years ago. I need to be accountable for this, but how can I prove that I didn't take the medication?
