trying to find a doctor who will prescribe easily in NJ, who wont ask any questions ## Hi lexie, To my knowledge, virtually any type of doctor can see you for ADHD (pediatrician, psychiatrist, regular MD). Whether or not they want to pursue treatment is up to them and if so they might go for another medication rather than Adderall. Chances are if you walk in and say you have ADHD, then ask for an Adderall script you won't get it because it is seen as what they call "drug seeking behavior". Also, you can't expect them to not ask any questions, because that is essentially part of their job in making sure they give you the right medication and aren't just handing it over to someone who only wants to abuse it. Depending on your approach, I'm sure Adderall will remain...

Hi! I'm new to this forum, but not really new to mental health. I've struggled with OCD, depression, and anxiety my whole life and have taken many different meds for them in my 29 years. But this post isn't about me. It's about my boyfriend. We moved in together in March of this year. I knew he frequently had mood swings, but I wasn't sure why. But about a month after we moved in, he told me he has taken adderall for about 10 years for severe ADHD. He hadn't told me before because he was ashamed of it. Of course I was understanding, and assured him that it was nothing to be ashamed of, and that if I could help him in any way, to let me know. But it goes deeper. See, he gets prescribed 40mg a day. But he takes about 60 and breaks them in half, so he's taking i...

I agree with you all in the difference between the peach oval generic pills vs. the orange round generic pills. The oval ones - I stay focused throughout the day at my job with almost no side effects. Recently, my normal pharmacy who I have picked my prescriptions up from for the 7 years switched to the round orange ones. Assuming they were the "same", I took them. The first day I already could notice a HUGE difference! My biggest complaint was the headaches! Not to mention very irritable, fatigue, weakness. I am not sure what the difference is in these two pharmaceutical companies BUT something is not right with those orange round ones. ## There can be some slight fluctuations in generic medications, they are actually allowed to differ from the name brand by as much as plus or ...

i am trying to identify a small light blue pill with N008 on one side and a score in the middle of the other side. I was told that it is a 20mg Adderall. I have seen blue Adderall but they are 10mg. ## Hello, Stephanie! How are you? The round, blue tablet with the N008 marking actually contains 20mgs of Propranolol, which is a beta blocker that's most commonly used to treat high blood pressure, certain cardiac conditions and some migraines. Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, stomach pain, hypotension and dry cough. Is there anything else I can help with? ## d amphetamine combo salts and name brands are SO effective at 20mg. Generic Adderall and brand names are "Orange book's" - 99.5% in efficacy. SHIRES Adderall is still superior. But the generic versi...

Just moved to santa ana orange county area. Seeking doctor who will prescribe me adderall ## Hello, Sunny! How are you? I'm sorry, but there is no listing of doctors according to what they will or will not prescribe that I can refer to for you. And due to the new regulations that have been put in place, if you require such a medication on a long-term ongoing basis, you'll need to see a specialist, so a psychiatrist would be required. The best thing to do might be to set yourself up with a new PCP and then have them refer you to someone that can help. Can anyone recommend a good doctor in that area? This medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability, nervousness, anorexia, weight loss and insomnia.

blue square, 2.5 ## There is no 2.5mg Adderall available in the U.S. The minimum dosage is 5mgs (NDC 0555-0762 for details.) What are the markings on the tablet in question? Can you please post back with them? If so, I will be happy to research this tablet for you. The FDA warns that Adderall carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, irritability, nervousness, weight loss, and anorexia.

I recently got the pink round 30 mg tablets and I find they make me tense up a lot more... sore muscles, shaky, hard to get motivated because I'm so distracted from the negative side effects... The only way I like this brand is if I take a Benzo with them to counteract. ## Hi, I think because there is a shortage right now, they are giving out corr brand vs teva(the orange ovals). The only thing I DO like about the pink ones is that they work super fast, like in 10-15 min, where the orange ones take around 45-1 hr. But yes the pink ones are a bit ruff. ## From what I could gather, it looks like the only differences between these two medications are found within the list of inactive ingredients. I went ahead and posted the list for each tablet so you can see for yourself what changes ...

I have been prescribed Adderal EX 3;20mg a day for ADD) I also took Lortab 5-500 every 4 hours for pain, I take prozac 40 mg, bupropionHCL 300mg, levothyroxine 25 MCG, Estratest full strength. pain releiver lollipop for mouth sores, I might have also taken 2 Extra strength Excedrine. could this combo cause me to pass out and have no pupil response and extreme disorientation? ## Did this happen to you? Is your doctor aware that you are taking all of these medications? I can't check the pain reliever lollipop, without knowing exactly what it contains. However, on the other medications listed, there are several possible interactions that can occur, for instance the Adderall taken with the Bupropion can cause seizures, due to the additive effects of taking them both at the same time. I was taking adderall 10 mg by mouth 3 times a day. Manufactured by Teva. I can't find it at local pharmacy. Anyone know how I can get my medication? ## Hi Shery, I went onto Teva's manufacturer webpage and found a photo of their 10mg Adderall pill (just scroll down a bit): I'm thinking you can simply email the company (using the contact link on their website) and ask them about the pill's availability in your area. Generally, if it is not available, the pharmacy can have it shipped there for your prescription or they can provide you with a different brand/generic of the same drug. Studies show that there are no differences in the quality or effectiveness of generic drugs vs brand name drugs. For more info on this comparison, you can visit the link below: Please post bac...

i want to stop Adderall which i have been taking for 13 years because it has reached a point that it is not good. if i stop depression creeps in at variable times and lengths and very cunningly which i now can sense . is there any other substance that i can take and stop the Adderall? I average 35 to 40 mil. a day and always run short 4 to five days before the 30. it is a roller coaster ride I know very well and also as far as organized and structured, it does not exist as far as i am concerned. ## Hello, Mark! How are you? Have you consulted your doctor? There are other medications you can try to replace the Adderall, if it's no longer working for you, such as Dexedrine or Focalin. The FDA warns that most carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nau...

I am a male 45 years old and psychiatrist diagnosed me with ADD. It took me years and years to finally admit I had an issue so I looked for a psychiatrist. She started me on Vynase and worked my way up to 50mg, I did last long for me so the other day she switched me to Adderall 30mg. I picked it up this morning and was a generic brand and on the orange capsule says R3061. I took one at 730 this morning and did not feel anything except a couple hours later very lethargic. I know I was not suppose to take another one but I did and did not feel anything. I called the cvs phamasist to ask if there is a difference between the brand name and the generic I am on based on what I have read here and other places and his response was I would have the same reaction if I was on the brand or generic....

CAN YOU TAKE BOTH OF THESE MEDS? WHAT ARE REACTIONS IF ANY? ## I'm not sure why you are on one medication (Xanax) that depresses your system, and another (Adderall) that is a stimulant. Perhaps the Adderall is to help you with ADHD? That is typically the only reason one takes Adderall...if they have a focusing deficit and need the mediciine to concentrate. Some people who have ADD are very wired and excitable so doctors put them on things like Clonodine, (but usually not Xanax), to help calm them down. Xanax can cause marked drosiness, blurred vision, lethargy. Adderall can cause heart palpitations, over excitement, diarrhea. ## Have they both been prescribed for you? They are sometimes prescribed together, if a person has a condition that requires Adderall, such as ADHD, or shift-w...

Why is it bad to flush pills in toilet would it hurt our environment ## Hello, Ran! How are you? Environmental contamination. Waste water is purified and reused, but it's been found that prescriptions drugs tend not to be removed by current purification methods, so we end up with them still being in our tap water. The preferred current disposal method is to mix them with some undesirable substance, such as used coffee grounds or dirty kitty litter, place the mess into a sealed container, such as a coffee can and then dispose of it with your regular garbage. Is there anything else I can help with?

Ive been on Vyvanse for almost 2 years w/no success, I was on Adderall XR & imm. Release before. It worked better, do I need to wean off the Vyvanse? All I have is 70 mg Vyvsnse capsules? I'm hoping I can just switch. Thank you very much! ## Have you consulted your doctor? These stimulant medications can be kind of touchy, some people do well with a direct switch, as long as the dosage is equivalent, but some don't. In such cases, it is always best to seek medical advice to discuss which way of doing it is the best approach for you to take. ## I was recently diagnosed adhd. Can you please help me out, are refer me to someone that can? Thank you very much, Linda ## Your insurance won't even cover the generic version? I know there are some that will not cover the name brand, however, most will cover the generic, if it's available and the name brand if your doctor denotes on the prescription that it is medically necessary. Have you looked into either of these options, yet? The reason I am asking is because the normal prescription assistance programs are geared towa...
