Adderall To Vyvanse

Hi, I have a question to ask hoping someone here can answer it for me. I currently am prescribed Adderall 10 mg twice daily and it makes me feel terrible physically and also causing vision problems. I plan to report these side effects to my prescribing physician as soon as I can and I'm going to ask to switch my meds to Vyvanse. I would like to see if it is better for me as opposed to Adderall. If my doctor does switch me to Vyvanse, will I be allowed to fill the Vyvanse even though I recently had my Adderall filled or is it required a person has to wait a month for a 30 day supply? Is it considered the same med, the Adderall & Vyvanse? ## No, they are not considered the same medication, so you should be able to get it filled, as long as your doctor approves. The FDA lists its t...

I've been taking adderall on and off since 2009 for college. However I started noticing the bad come downs so my doctor switched me to vyvanse 50mg. That didn't work out too well. The dose turned out to be too high for me, causing me to be really anxious, over analyzing everything, and getting nothing done. I switched to 30mg vyvanse and I've been taking that on and off for a few years. Some days I think to myself, "thank god for this stuff". And then there are other days where I regret taking it- very weird. For example today I took one capsule for the first time in a few weeks. I felt great this morning, all my worries went away about starting this new job of mine, I felt focused and got things done. Then after the first two hours or so I got very anxious and on ed...

I am prescribed Adderall by my PCP. I see a psychologist also. He prescribed Vyvnase to me. I have attempted to fill the prescription for Vyvanse and the pharmacist refused. Should I find another pharmacy? I do have health insurance. and can't afford to pay cash. I am having problems with my job, and can't afford to loose it. I certainly think that I need to at least the Vyvanse to get my ADD under control. I am in Macon, Ga. Thanks in advance for any assistance/advice. ## Hi holly, Sorry to hear about the trouble you had in getting your script filled; but it sounds like you may just need to check other pharmacies in your area. If you need additional assistance with covering the cost of your medication, I do know that MedsChat also offers a free drug discount card that can save ...

Hello, I am on adderall XR for adult ADHD and fatigue due to fibromyalgia and RSD and COmplex regional pain syndrome....how does it compare in strength for fatigue concentration compare to Vyvanse as Vyvanse is the prodrug of D-amphetimine& a single enantimoer vs mixed such as adderall? thank you very much for any feedback! ## Vyvanse is roughly 1/3 as strong as Adderall so 30-40mg is about equal 10mg Adderall. Vyvanse is perhaps gentler and smoother than Adderall. Best, David

Please READ this as I am going to try to explain my best of my experience with these medications. I want to start out saying that life is what you make it. There are millions of people out there with a chemical imbalance such as ADHD, DEPRESSION, ANXIETY etc. With that being said I have all three of them stated above. I went all through high school without being on any medications. I tried some depression pills but never stuck with them but I made it and graduated with a B-C average but I did it. I first was introduced to the drug ADDERALL from my best friend who I worked with at the time. He gave me a 10mg instant release Adderall pill. I was scared to take it because I didn't do drugs besides drink on occasion. So I was scared what it was going to do to me. Well since that day my ...

looking for a doctor that easily can prescribe adderall or vyvanse that can give appointment right away. ## Due to the new regulations that were put in place last year, you'll need to see a specialist to have such a medication prescribed and none of them are going to prescribe that easily and give same day appointments. These medications carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, insomnia and anorexia. Do you have a PCP that you see regularly? If so, then the easiest thing to do would be to ask them to refer you to someone. ## I just moved to West Palm Beach, and I am looking for a doctor that will prescribe me 30mg mg adderall. I already had a prescription for 20mg in Pensacola, however, the way my life is right now...it s...

I was taking brand name Adderall IR for about a year and found it to be very helpful. But since Teva/Barr/Duramed just changed the formula for brand name Adderall IR - and it's pretty awful - my pdoc switched me to Vyvanse. I'm wondering if maybe I should switch to Adderall XR instead (of Vyvanse)? Thanks for any and all replies. ## For anyone else that's looking for similar information, the best thing I can say is that it really depends on figuring out what works for you. Sometimes finding the right medication, once you've grown tolerant to one, or once something has changed about it, is just a matter of trial and error. Some people get lucky and the first thing they use works great for them and stays effective for years, but this doesn't happen for everyone. Thus, ...

I've been taking Adderall xr 15mg for three weeks. First couple of days I felt sleepy, groggy, third and fourth days i felt a surge of physical well-being, as well as focused , and a balanced state of mind. However, all that lasted another couple of days. After the first week of Adderall xr 15mg, i felt nothing. It's been three weeks now, and I still feel nothing. I am going to ask my doc to switch to Vyvanse. However, i know that 10mg of Axr is = to 30mg of Vyvanse. But if i'm taking 15 mg of Axr, how much Vyvanse should I take to equal the Axr dose? But, aside from that, do you all think I should stay on the Axr a bit longer? give it a little more time to work? i've read that sometimes it takes over a month to kick in. thanks! ## I am on vyvanse and wanting to switch t...

Hi: I've been prescribed Adderall 20mg IR (generic amphetamine salts, 2x daily) and I found I was just dripping sweat in any type of heat or even at 40 deg after some exertion. My doctor switched me to dextroamphetamine (again, generic, 10 mg, 2x daily), and there is no improvement. The new drug is not as effective as the Adderall. My doctor is not that familiar with this class of drugs, but my pharmacist specialized in mental health drugs and suggested that an ER or XR version might work better. I've also read that some people do better on certain types of generics or the name brands. Has anyone found that: 1) an extended release version has physical side effects (i.e., sweating)? 2) a name brand, rather than generic, has been more effective at preventing side effects? 3) a dif...

Hi I'm taking 60mg of vyvanse in the AM with 30mg aderall is this safe and my blood pressure medince all togather. Please answer back! Thanks ## Hello, Melanie! How are you? No, these types of stimulants aren't usually safe for someone with high blood pressure or a cardiac condition, because they can cause elevated blood pressure and heart rate. Learn more Vyvanse details here. Learn more Adderall details here. Has your doctor prescribed all of these? What are your usual blood pressure levels? ## My blood pressure has been good everytime I've checked it. I have a high tolerance I guess that's y I feel I take so much! Thank you for responding to me..

Vyvanse gave me my life back! I have nothing bad to say about it. I didn't feel I was depressed, etc......I just had no motivation because I was so tired all the time. I KNEW I was sleeping my life away and was not happy with that. It's been 3 yrs...and i feel vyvance is not working as well as it was. I'm sleeping again. I tried a generic of Adderall in the evening, until that no longer works. Today, the doc gave me fetzima to go with my vyvance. Haven't started it yet. Does anyone have feedback or any suggestions as to what to take to feel the way i did with the beginning of vyvance?? ## Hello, Sally! How are you? I'm sorry about the problems you're having. It is normal for a medication to stop working as well for someone, if they've been taking it for a lon...

I have Narcolepsy and have been taking various drugs (e.g. Adderall, Dexotrine, Vyvanse) for the condition for the past 8 years. I recently had stints inserted into two arteries (one was almost completely closed). My wife feels that I should not take any stimulant medications since being diagnosed with artery problems. She is also convenienced that stimulant drugs cause me to be quick to anger and also increase intensity of anger. Please advise. ## The PLUTO-Diabetes study revealed substantial differences in the platelet-related effects of 1-month treatment with clopidogrel and ASA combination versus ASA alone in diabetic patients. pot. changing ADD med./Adult ## I've been diagnosed with ADHD for several years now and and been on Adderall and Ritalin. I didn't think the Adderall was very effective so I switched but after a few months on the Ritalin I'm beginning to think it might be to intense for me. My friend is on Vyvanse and she says it's the best medication she's taken for ADHD, so I would just like to know your thoughts. ## Just to add some information or anyone else seeking… Any time you're trying to treat a medical condition, it can be a matter of trial and error to find a medication that works for the person, without causing unwanted problematic side effects. Hi, I'm wondering if anyone can share their experience switching from Vyvanse 70mg once daily to Mydayis (50mg) and if it is a better medication as opposed to Vyvanse? Please respond if anyone out there has experienced this switch as I am considering it somewhat although, I have no major issues with Vyvanse. ## If Vyvanse is working for you, why switch? I am just curious. Mydays is most similar to Adderall, and is used to treat the same conditions, but overall it really depends on what works for you, and what is safest for you. Has your doctor suggest you make a change? The FDA warns that these medications carry the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, insomnia, mood changes, and weight loss. ## Hi, Verwon! Ive been on Vyvanse for almost 2 years w/no success, I was on Adderall XR & imm. Release before. It worked better, do I need to wean off the Vyvanse? All I have is 70 mg Vyvsnse capsules? I'm hoping I can just switch. Thank you very much! ## Have you consulted your doctor? These stimulant medications can be kind of touchy, some people do well with a direct switch, as long as the dosage is equivalent, but some don't. In such cases, it is always best to seek medical advice to discuss which way of doing it is the best approach for you to take. ## I was recently diagnosed adhd. I am hearing that Walgreens is putting a 24-48 hour hold on my ADHD Medication, Adderall. Are the rumors of an Adderall shortage true? If I could afford Vyvanse I would prefer to be prescribed them, but I can't. I have been getting the generic Adderall for over two years now and I was prescribed them 20 years ago in High School. I am curious to know if it is true and why? If my date on my script is the day of fill, why would I have to wait an extra one or two days without them? ## Hello, Ryan! How are you? I have been EXHAUSTED lethargic headaches sad .... Weird crap. I tried taking more just to see if it was weak (up to 200mg) - all it did was made all those symptoms ALOT worse. Is it the brand ?
