Has anyone used the Mallinckrodt. I have never even heard of it, and have taken the other generics with moderate success;. This brand is horrible. Very weak. Anyone experienced the same? ## Hello, Brian! How are you? Yes, several other people have complained about this one, though some have not had any problems with it. It really depends on the person. This medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability, anorexia and insomnia. Can anyone else chime in that's taken this one? ## Generic Adderall made by Barr,Teva, Eon all seem to be great! No issues for over 4 years. Now for the 2nd time in the past 3 months I filled my script at Walmart. Instead of the orange oval pills, my bottle contained white, bitte...

I have a few questions about Adderall and the exact perscription I am taking. I'm brand new to adderall and would like much more info! I'm on my fourth month of my prescription, This is my first month taking 10mg twice a day I take one at 6 am and before 12pm. What do ya'll think of this prescription...is there a difference in brand and generic? What is everyone's experiences with this drug? Do you recommend something different? What is normal on adderall and what is good and how do I know if the drug isnt working for me or isnt affecting me properly. I'm not too sure I like this prescription, but I dont know what to expect or what to compare it to. I've noticed I have lashed out on my mom a couple of times and have said some harsh things, and I'm not that ty...

Is the round pink 30 mg Adderall generic name Sandoz/Eon with the markings of CDR 136 on one side more or less effective than the oval orange 30 mg Adderall generic name Barr/Teva with the markings of b974 on one side and 30 on the other side? What is the most effective/potent Adderall that is generic and 30 mg? ## Certain "inactive" ingredients that may or may not be present in each of these brands, are actually detrimental to how the drug is metabolized and used by your body. So it's quite possible that you may respond favorably with one medication and not the other (even if they are the same drug & same dosage); mostly due to how you feel or based on whatever side effects present themselves. Have you taken either one of them yet? I'd probably suggest giving them e...

I cant stand corepharma anyone know who carrys the barr/teva orange footballs. I know qfc does not any help would be great ## Hi, Tristan! I understand, I have had a similar problem with some generics myself, due to the fluctuations they are allowed to have. What I'd suggest is asking your QFC pharmacist if they can order the one from Barr/Teva in for you. I know they carry their products, two of my prescriptions were switched to the ones manufactured by Teva a few months ago from my local QFC which isn't too far from you. If you use their pharmacy regularly, you'll find that QFC can be very helpful and accommodating. Does anyone else have any ideas? ## Yes sir I sure do know who carries teva 30mg instant release tablets. they are orange football shaped stamped B 974 on one ...

Which companies manufacture "Generic equivalents" of ADDERALL XR 20mg capsules? I looked on CVS website. I have been on Adderall XR 20mg once a day and my dr wrote it for 10mg twice daily; yet the pharmacist filled regular generic adderall xr; I know this because I compared those with a photo from Barr! What should I do? ## I made an error; he filled generic adderall 10mg IR; Not XR as my Dr had written by Barr! ## Don't be alarmed, Adderall 20 mg and the generic version of Adderall 10 mg are the same. The only difference is the mg's. If you feel concerned I would phone your MD and ask he/she what you should do. Or you can even speak with your pharmacist if you can't phone your MD. ## In regards to IR and XR: IR simply means Instant Release, and XR means Extended Release. 20 mg of Adderall XR is supposed to last throughout the day. The 10 mg of Adderall IR is to help instantly ...

I used to take Barr 40mg IR a day (30 in AM, and 10 in afternoon). I wanted to try XR, and was able to receive name brand Adderall XR from Shire 30mg in morning and 10 in afternoon. I started my med journey 6 months ago, titrating up 5-10mg a month with Barr IR. I had side effects in the beginning of my journey, but they subsided. Is it possible to get side effects all over again when switching over to the name brand since I am used to my specific generic IR, or is it just at that XR doesn't work for me?? ## Hello, MissG! How are you doing? Yes, switching to the name brand could possibly cause you to experience side effects, again. There is a chance that the generic was slightly lower in the active ingredient, as described by the Hatch-Waxman Act of 1984. The FDA classifies this med...

Hello, I've been taking TEVA for the past 9 years since it's the only one that has had any benefit since CorePharma has been unavailable. Zydus doesn't work and Barr never worked. What's the most effective manufacturer these days and which retailers make it available? I've been taking 30mg IR generic Adderall. Thanks in advance. ## Yes I miss CorePharma, they were a great generic. Teva USED to be good but my most recent two fills have been Teva and this is ridiculously poor quality… I’ve fallen asleep multiple times during the day. There are also many bad reviews online for the last few months about Teva. It seems like a sudden dramatic drop for them. Sugar pill? What happened, Teva?!!!!.. Prior to this, I liked Lannett but now Walgreens doesn’t hav...

I am currently without insurance and I had to pay $275 (cheapest I could find) for my GENERIC Adderall XR 20mg/60 count. I have read that Teva was the only one to produce the generic version for 180 days from the launch date, which was 4/2/09. My math indicates their 180 days will be up in two days (9/30/09) but I can't find out if any other companies are going to be producing the generic which should drive the price down significantly. Does anyone have any information about anyone else producing the generic Adderall XR 20 mg other than Teva/Barr? The generic name is Dextroamphetamine+amphetamine mixed salts, extended release. I cannot keep paying almost $300/mo for medication. I take it for narcolepsy and cannot function without it. So I am stuck between a rock and a hard place her...

One of the worst generics I had at Kroger’s was Zydus. Switched to Walgreens and they have Teva. Kroger is cheap for everything else though. Xanax bars for 120 are like 12 bucks. Effexor is like 5 bucks. Cialis for 90 is only like 25 and it’s over 100 at Walgreens. So I get everything but my Adderall at kroger.

Tomorrow I should be filling a script for 30 mg Adderall IR tablets, but I am nervous about getting stuck with a subpar generic. What are the current generic manufacturers as of this month? My only option with my insurance is to fill at Rite Aid or CVS - which generic do they commonly carry? I appreciate your help! ## Spoke with corepharma this morning. They no longer manufacture amphetamine salts. Limited to Sandoz, barr/teva, and a few others now. I was just switched to Aurobindo. IT IS AWFUL. It feels narcotic, makes my add worse, and is inconsistent at best in strength. ## The worst are corepharma's bright pink round pills. CVS buys them at the cheapest rate. Mylan aren't bad with their peach round MA20, but most swear by Sandoz and Barr/teva. ## Being that we all react/resp...

I've been getting the orange football shaped ones, barr, before this fill. So far I haven't had any issues but we will see. ## Hello Melissa, According to the NIH these two pills do contain the same active ingredients but have no similarities between the inactive ingredients. My name is Phil and I am 18 years old. I weigh 170 lbs and I am 6'3. At the beginning of my Freshman year of college I was diagnosed with ADHD and Social Anxiety Disorder. I currently take Adderall IR 10 mg (Barr Generic) once per day and Adderall XR 20 mg (Actavis Generic) once per day. I take Zoloft 100mg (American Health). My question is this: What are your experiences with the different generic brands? From what I have heard, for Adderall IR Sandoz/Eon has worked well with a lot of people, for Adderall XR Actavis (what I take) is really bad and I'd like to hear about Global and Barr, and I haven't researched Zoloft. Since I haven't tried any brands, I can't really compare these to anything. Here is the list of generics I have heard of (the asterisk means I'm ...

I take generic Adderall 20 mg for narcolepsy and there is not one local pharmacy that has it in stock. I have never had this problem before. The pharmacies are saying that it's on backorder from the manufacturer. Is anyone else having problems getting their scripts filled? ## I live in Southern NH. I can't find a pharmacy anywhere around here that can get Adderall in any dose from Teva and Barr Pharmaceuticals. My psychiatrist was apparently completely unaware of this situation when he wrote the prescription earlier today, 10/18/2011. I run out in 4 days but am on a very low dose (5mg twice a day) so I may be able to wean off of it safely by cutting back to 5mg once a day, then nothing. I wonder how many people taking higher doses are going to have major problems with withdrawal...

I have been taking adderall for over 10 years now. Started with Sandoz, which I have found to work the best. All the pharmacies I have been to have moved to other brands (Barr, Teva). They are ok. Does anyone know of any pharmacies in the Richmond, Va area that still carry Sandoz 20mg IR? If not, any other brands that you have found that work similar to Sandoz and where I can find them? ## There is really no best one that anyone can recommend. Since we are all different, the Adderall generic from one manufacturer that works well for you, may not work as well for someone else, and vice-versa. This medication carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, nervousness, and insomnia. What types of issues are having with the alternat...

Does brand name 10mg Adderall have a new design? Picked up my Rx yesterday and pill is blue. One side is scored and says 10. The other side, rather than saying AD, has a symbol which looks sort of like a figure 8, or perhaps a letter S with a line through it. Pharmacy says these are brand name Adderall. Anyone else see these yet? ## Brand name Adderall, at least the IR version, has a new formulation! (This was confirmed to me by an individual at Barr Pharmaceuticals - manufacturer of brand name (& generic) Adderall. And IMO the new formulation is nowhere nearly as effective as was the old formulation. I'm pretty sure that as this new formulation of brand name Adderalll makes its way into the pharmacies, there will be plenty of news about it and plenty of folks very unhappy about...

I always go to the same pharmacy to get my prescriptions filled, but this time, I was on my way to school so I stopped at a different pharmacy and got my adderall filled there. My usual pills are generic 10mg, as are these new ones. My normal pill bottle reads: Amphetamine Salts 10mg, gen for Adderall 10mg tablet. take one tablet twice a day. These are made by Caraco Pharmaceuticals, I believe (well that's what the bottle says, so I'm assuming that's what it means). They are a turquoise-ish color, and round. The new bottle of generic pills that I just received has the same information except it says they are made by Corepharma Jtk. They are vivid blue. These new pills do not seem as effective at all. I feel like I can barely concentrate. I don't know what to do. How do I...

I was taking Barr Dextroamphetamine Sulfate for 12 years. This medication was a miracle drug for me as it lowered my blood pressure, increased my focus, attention, and breathing. About three years ago, my medication "disappeared" without warning or notice. No one would tell me the truth until I found my drug at a pharmacy two hours away. After receiving the medication twice, the pharmacist said he could no longer get it for me because my $50 generic shot up to $500 overnight. I have been forced to try other generics, but none compared to Barr. Teva bought Barr, and I was able to get it periodically... except when the government planned a "shortage" three months ago. I received my medication, however, the whole 180 pills were ineffective. Before that, the other "Adder...
