Actavis Lorazepam

Used to taking Watson Lorazepam Actavis Lorazepam not effective! ## Hi sylvia, When you switch brand names or manufacturers the drug itself doesn't change, but rather the binders or fillers that they put with it. For this very reason, I believe the differences you are noticing have a lot to do with certain "inactive" ingredients that may or may not be present in each brand. I'm frustratingly surprised that doctor's and pharmacists don't mention this to their patients, after giving them a completely different script without prior notice. Have you tried discussing this issue with your doctor yet? Hopefully he can specify a manufacturer for you in the script.

had nothing but bad news with the new sandoz lorazapm which is suppose to be the activus lorazapam, don't know what they did to the product but i have insomnia from the sandoz product, have no idea why there is such a change from each manufactorer, the product should be identical but they like to fool around with these meds and they seem not to care how it effects the patient, if anyone was using activus lorazam and has found something else since sandoz acquired the med, please pass on the info, have tried almost all the other and they don't work ## I have taken ativan (lorazepam) from Sandoz for years. The last prescription I got has given me problems just like the I had with two other manufactures ( Watson & Excellin). The problem is that they change the glue or filler wit...

Round white pill, with half moon and 59 on one side and a score on the other, is it generic Ativan or what? ## Yes, the crescent shape you're describing is a logo used by Actavis on some of their products and this tablet contains 1mg of Lorazepam, the active ingredient in Ativan. Learn more Lorazepam details here. Where did you find it? I'm just curious, because this one has been asked about quite a few times recently.

I have been taking Lorazepam for over a year to help me sleep and as needed. I take .5 mg, have had no problems at all, now Target tells me they now get it from somewhere else. I always stay with the same company if it works. Always have problems when they change.. Can you tell me who still carries this from Actavis and where to get it filled? Thank you!! ## Hello Mary, Unfortunately, no. Nobody will be able to accurately tell you which pharmacy in your area carries which brand of a product, in fact most pharmacies won't tell you if they carry the product unless you are there in person with a signed prescription for that medication. The reason for this is that the pharmacies protect themselves from theft by not providing people with information on what drug they carry and which bran...

Most pharmacies sell watson or actavis lorazepam in my area (LA), but I had serious side effects with no calming effect from watson so I returned to Rite Aid after taking one tablet. I heard that watson was taken over by actavis and they are manufactured at the same factory and same medicine. I used to take qualitest and that worked great but was discontinued. I also tried Mylan which was ok but they are discontinuing as they said they don't have inventory and don't know when the last batch is released. Leading pharma does not work for me, causing serious side effects. I visited or called about 30 pharmacies in my area but they only deal with leading pharma, watson and actavis. So I have no option but to try actavis, but if it's the same as watson, I think I can't take i...

Is sandoz lorazepam the same as watson or actavis? I mean, the same brand? I heard that they are same company or same manufacturer. I took watson but due to serious side effect (panic attack, heart pounding, dehydration, choking, asthma, internal tremor, insomnia) with no calming effect, I was very ill so could not take it. Rite aid accepted return, but CVS did not accept return when I got serious side effect from leading pharma lorazepam at once so could not take it. CVS said in California, once patients receive any medicine they can not return it as it is against the law. Then why rite aid accepted return? CVS also told me that no transfer is allowed. But for controlled substance, one transfer is allowed as I experienced a lot of times before. Once patient bought it unless they return...

Help!!!! I've loved the Watson brand of Lorazepam. I just take a small amount and it eases my anxiety. HOWEVER, Actavis bought Watson and (trust me) the product is no longer effective. OMG. So frustrating. Does anyone know of a manufacturer that makes a Lorazepam comparable to Watson's? ## My lorazepam have Watson 541 stamped on them. ## I am curious as well, it seems like generic medications no longer hold standards. I have had a hard time finding a good generic Adderall IR. I’ve called every local pharmacy and even requested to order “what most people’s advice will be” and I can’t find one to do that for me. But if I could help any whatsoever I’d google independent pharmacy’s locally and call and simply tell them your new generic isn...

Which manufacturer of 2mg Lorazepam gets the best reviews and how does Teva's Lorazepam compare to the rest? ## There have been a lot of changes in the last several months, but in my opinion: 1. Teva/Actavis 2. Aurobindo 3. Leading

I just refilled a prescription for 2mg Lorazepam but this time I got a much larger pill manufactured by Qualitest. The previous med I was taking was manufactured by Actavis/Watson…. Has anyone noticed a difference in symptoms? ## Hello, Angela! How are you? Have you tried taking it, yet? They are just manufactured by different companies, but the medication itself is the same. The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability. I've taken the one by Qualitest before and it worked well for me, but that was several years ago. ## I have been taking Ativan/lorazipan for a long time, it seem every time I find a brand I like they stop making it, right now I am taking qualitest 1mg, and it wo...

I’ve been taking the generic brand Mylan Lorazapam for four years. Only one that helps me live a normal life stop anxiety/ptsd/ ect. Lorazepam is also the only medication that works for me. My Doctor and I have tried everything. But horrible side effects! Mylan lorazepam has been a miracle! Sadly I just found out that mylan is discontinuing I have a partial script of .5 mylan because 1mg is already gone and the rest is Actavis! I tried one of the Actavis today and it completely zonked me out and feel so weird! Only other one they said they have is Leading. But I saw people post horrible stuff about that as well. A girl I know goes to a different pharmacy and has the exellium brand. I’ve never heard of it... has anyone taken it on the regular and do you find it’s better...

I picked up my prescription for lorazepam and this one just looks different than any that I have seen it has the actavis logo like a crescent moon or something and 59 on one side and the othe side is scored. It is small and white and the pharmacy is closed until monday and I just cannot find the pill online to double check it.. anyone? put my mind at ease? ## Hii, Dear friend, just go to online pill identifier library on net to find out exact brand.Otherwise ,you can contact nearest Drug office in your city to confirm...Or just share brand name/company name on blister/bottle pack u have !! Hope u got this....have a good day ## I have also gotten some lorazepam recently that has 57 on one side and the actavis cresct on the other... I too have been unable to confirm this visually on any w...

My local pharmacy recently changed from Qualitest lorazepam to Actavis (Watson). So I have to transfer. Most pharmacies here sell Leading Pharma or Actavis. I have an adverse reaction from Watson lorazepam (serious side effects with no calming effect). I used to take Ativan but it is too expensive to continue (I took it when I was abroad and from Kaiser in the U.S. but Kaiser changed it to generic Qualitest lorazepam). I do not use Kaiser insurance anymore. Qualitest is milder than Ativan in terms of effect, like 50%-60% of Ativan, but less dehydrated and OK considering it is generic. Ativan is $2600 for 1mg 30ea in cash. Besides, most insurance does not cover it or do not want to pay for it by forcing doctors to prescribe generic lorazepam instead. If you guys take Qualitest, could you...

What is the difference between lorazepam 2mg tab qua and lorazepam 2mg tab act? ## Hello, Annette! How are you? Those are abbreviations for the manufacturers, Qualitest Pharmaceuticals and Actavis, respectively. Since this is a generic, it is manufactured by several different companies to help create market competition and try to keep prices down. The FDA warns that this medication may carry the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability. Is there anything else I can help with?

I think most people who take lorazepam are familiar with side effects like any other script, however we also know what works and what doesn't. And I for one am tired of hearing the same explanation that you build up a tolerance. I only have encountered that problem when different mfg merge or deviated from what the formula calls for. ## Agreed. Been on Lorazepam long term and have never seen more mfgr chances in the last 6-8 months, between Actavis/Teva, Leading & Aurobindo, just as my body adjusts, there’s a change. My dosage has always stayed the same. ## Hello, Margaret, and Leebs! How are you both doing? I have been taking lorazepam with the #063, and a couple of mos. ago they said they don't have them or can't get them anymore. they tried to give me another pill saying it is the same, 2mg but it is not the same. I have a lot of anxiety for the pain I have all over my body. Arthritis. I am 77 and can you help me by letting me know where I can get this certain pill? I can't sleep at night because these other Lorazepam don't work for me...thank you..I use safeway pharmacy. ## Hi margie, Sorry to hear about your situation. I think a good way to go about this would probably be to ask your doctor to specify a particular manufacturer's version of Lorazepam (such as Actavis), directly on the prescription so pharmacists will know which brand to have in stock or order for you...

My pharmacy told me that they can't buy mylan any more and they do not know if it is discontinued or not. Since Qualitest lorazepam was discontinued, Mylan is the only lorazepam that works (less effective than Qualitest) but works with less side effects than others (Watson, leading pharma, actavis: don't work causing serious side effects). Any alternatives, or another generic lorazepam that works ok? Lorazepam is the only sedative that works for me for anxiety and stiffness due to side effects of levothyroxine. Other medicine such as clonazepam, alprazolam (xanax), cymbalta, zoloft, lexapro, etc do not work. ## I don't know about lorazepam being discontinued but I was told by two representatives the they are discontinuing clonazepam and I'm devastated. I used to take Qualitest lorazepam but it was discontinued. I had to switch but Watson / Actavis does not work and causes side effects. Most pharmacies carry Actavis. My local Walgreens carries Sandoz which is similar to Watson. Another local pharmacy carries Mylan or cardinal health. Anyone tried Cardinal health or Mylan lorazepam and worked ok? Where can I get excellium lorazepam 1mg? I called 30 pharmacies in my area but none deal with it. I heard excellium lorazepam works well. ## The main issue here is that this is a potentially addictive substance, according to FDA warnings. Thus, most pharmacies are not going to give you an honest answer, because they don't know if someone calling is a legitimate patient with a need, or a possible drug seeker that might want to rob them. Been on Sandoz mfr. lorazepam for 10 years; no problems; no need to increase dose. Sandoz stopped mfr. Now, can only get these generic's & Actavis. I've been taking Watson Pharmaceuticals Lorazepam and it worked great. Apparently, Actavis just took over Watson, and Watson no longer exists. I'm looking for another bran of Lorazepam that has the same Active & Inactive ingredients as the Watson brand, however, I can't locate the info on line and my pharmacy won't help me. Does anyone know what other manufacturer carries Lorazepam that is exactly the same as the Watson brand. Actavis and Sandoz manufacturer's Lorazepam does not work. ## Well, you're pharmacy won't help, because if the active ingredient is the same, they are considered the same. The inactive ingredients are called such for a reason, they don't affect the drug. How long have you been taking your current dose? It is possible that you...
