I have been taking bupropuin 150 mg 2 times daily made by actavis for over 6 months and doing very well with it last week I was given the same medication but it was a different color and made b sandoz .I have been taking it for 8 days two days ago I had a panic attack then for the past 2 days I have had tightness in my chest. Felt a bit dizzy yesterday and have been feeling extremely overwhelmed and even crying, I'm not sure if it could have something to do with the medication. Please help ## There can be some fluctuations in the amount of the active ingredient from one generic to another, they are usually slight and considered to be therapeutically insignificant, but there are some cases where someone can be sensitive to any fluctuation and they may experience problems. I've been taking the generic brand PAR of Buproion LX 300MG for over 2 years and haven't run into any problems. Walgreens switched the brand to Actavis generic this month and I feel extremely depressed. I plan on seeking medical attention from my doctor right away-- but I'd like to hear about your experiences to not feel so alone. I started taking Actavis around January 15th and I've noticed my mood has completely shifted and no longer feel like myself. PAR seemed to work well for me. Before I switched brands my depression was manageable but now it's out of control. I constantly feel angry, annoyed, and highly irritated and it scares me. Can generic brands of the same exact medication cause your mental health to decline? ## Hi Emma, Sorry to hear about your reaction ...

weening off this antidepressant, i have been on it for 3 months. any one out there with exactly the same medicine? how many mg did u reduce it by and over what period of time. Thanks ## This type of information is probably best given by your doctor; only because the difference in dosages can affect each person differently. What might be a safe tapered-dose for one person could also end up being too drastic of a change for someone else. I would even ask your doctor to help you put together a tapering schedule (on a calendar), in order track your progress and keep you on the right path to completing your goal within a specific time frame. Without a way to track your progress, tapering can sometimes be much more difficult than it needs to be. I hope this advice helps!

Generic for Wellbutrin 150 mg SR ## Sorry, I cannot find this listed anywhere. ## What country did you get this medicine from? Does not appear to be a U.S. brand name. ## Bupropion HCL SR manufactured by WATSO is the generic for Wellbutrin SR. Bupropion HCL ER by EONLB is another substitute. A new drug was approved a few weeks ago but I believe it is in direct competition with Wellbutrin. Regards. ## Actavissou: sold by Walmarts as a generic for Wellbutrin SR Bupropoin 150MG. Help? Can Not find where it is made..it is not WATSON asc earlier posted stated. ## I recently got Bupropion SR 2/150 mg in the morning at Walmart, Actavissou maker. I was on 300 mg in the morning, maker Watson. The Watson worked great, now on this Actavissou brand I'm a basket case. I'm worse than before I...

Has anyone tried Bupropion XL 300 by Lupin - a round pill marked L016? Just received these from Walgreen's internet pharmacy and I'm very concerned. I started taking this medication about two years ago, the PAR generic, and everything was great. Then, CVS changed to Cipla and things got bad -- it was only thanks to rxchat that I figured out the problem was caused by the new manufacturer. So, I switched to Walgreens, which had Actavis. It was so much better for me than Cipla but not quite as good as PAR. Quite by accident, I found that when ordering from Walgreen's internet pharmacy I got the med manufactured by PAR. All's been good for many months... until I just opened my newest prescription and found it's by a newly approved generic by Lupin. Hopefully it will be f...

I've been taking Watson bupropion 150 XL (first 2 daily, then increased to 3 daily) for many years. I found all the other generics ineffective or worse.( I took brand before generics were approved). When the FDA declared testing showed Watson 300 XL and two other generics were not found to be bioequivalent to brand, Watson "voluntarily" withdrew the 300 XL. Evidently the 150 XL was also taken off the market, because it cannot be found anywhere, either in mail order or retail pharmacies. Does Watson's Acquisition of Actavis mean the Actavis buproprion is Watson's formula or Actavis'? I'd be interested in more feedback here on the Actavis generic and the Par that I'm now taking, which for me is the equivalent of taking absolutely nothing. I've been so s...

Last month (Feb 2014) my pharmacy filled my prescription for bupropion hcl sr 200mg with product made by actavis. It was an oval yellow pill. I felt dramatically better, and was looking forward to continuing to use the same product. Now it is apparently no longer available because Activis was bought by Watson. My new prescription is a round white tablet with wpi 3335 written on it. Has anyone else had experience with this particular product? Has anyone found success with any other version of this product. It is very frustrating to have so much inconsistancy from one bottle of medication to the next. (Global Pharmaceuticals was so bad that I changed pharmacies to get a better product.) ## Have you tried talking to your pharmacist about the problem? They may be able to order in the one th...

Costco switched generics on me. I have been taking MYLAN Buprpion 300XL for years. They switched to ACTAVIS and I feel gross and have a metallic taste in my mouth. Costco is no help and I have called around and haven't found a pharmacy that carries MYLAN. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated :)

CIPLA got approval from the FDA to produce their generic version of Wellbutrin XL on August 30, 2016. I have made an inquiry to CIPLA as to whether their approval also means that they met the bioequivalence testing that other generic manufacturers had to comply with after Teva/Impax was pulled off the market in Sept. 2012 -- and Actavis (now owned by Watson) was removed Oct. 2013. [Second Generic Version of Popular Antidepressant to be Pulled from Market for Bioequivalency Issues]. Not sure if they have this problem corrected. Anyone know about Cipla or Watson/Actavis? ## For anyone else who may be wanting to contact Cipla USA regarding this concern, you can reach their customer service department by phone at: 844-CIPLA US (844-247-5287) or via email at: [email protected] Furthermore, it...

I started on bupropion xl 300 (brand zydus) on sept 14th this year for depression. It helped gradually over the month and by one month in I was feeling alot better. I went to pick up my refill and didnt notice until I got home that they gave me a different brand. It was bupropion xl 300 (brand actavis). While taking this new brand I seemed to gradually be getting my depression feelings back. I then found direct success and my doctor sent in a prescription for the brand name wellbutrin xl 300. I took it only 3 days but it was almost like I was not taking anything. I had all my symptoms back! Should I continue on the brand name because everyone says it's the best or go back to the one that worked? I am so confused as to why the brand name wellbutrin works so well for everyone but me. ...

I need help identifying a white oblong pill with 142 printed on one side. I found it in a pocketbook I bought at a yard sale and want to know what it is? Could it be ibuprofen 800 mg? ## A white oval tablet with the marking of 142 is manufactured by Actavis and they list it as containing 300mgs of Bupropion, which is to treat depression, anxiety, and to help with smoking cessation. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, mood changes, and weight changes. Is there anything else I can help with?

I was taking 150 ml of Bupropion SR by Teva for several years and it has stopped working for my depression. Has anyone been happy with the other generic forms of Wellbutrin? I am now trying one from Activis but just started it yesterday. ## Your body will get used to the dosage of any medication that you take for a long period of time and it will eventually become less effective. Thus, it's really doubtful that switching manufacturers will help. It's most likely that you need a slight higher dosage to get the same benefits as you did before from this medication. Have you spoken to your doctor about it? You can read more Wellbutrin details here. ## Please let me know how the Actavis generic is working for you. I have been taking the Watson generic for 2 years and liked it. Just n...

Does anyone know if Budeprion HCL (ER, SR...) is still being distributed at all in the US? Years ago I was Rx'ed generic Wellbutrin SR, always had filled at Target and always received the TEVA Budeprion SR formula. It worked wonderfully for me. Now that TEVA's Budeprion formulations have been pulled, my Rx's are filled with the Bupropion HCL or Bupropion HBR ER/SR - I haven't found a generic manufacturer of the bupropion (Mylan, Actavis, etc.) that works nearly as well as the budeprion. In fact, some generics have made me so ill that I've actually have a "poisioned-like" feeling (for lack of a better description) begin to ramp up after 2 weeks of a specific generic, every time I've tried that specific generic. Other generics seem to have no effect whatsoe...
