Great news!!!!.....Ihave found something that works just as well!!!......I found it at Walgreens and it' s cheaper......it is a Walgreens brand called ANEFRIN Nasal Spray extra moisturizing 12 hour pump mist!!......since Nostrillahas been pulled I have tried about 10 different brands and THIS ONE WORKS!!!......and is cheaper!!!!......Good Luck!! ## I have had great results from using Afrin Nasal Spray with a stuffy nose from being sick. Clears it up almost instantly! The active ingredient in Anefrin and Afrin is Oxymetazoline hydrochloride 0.05%, so I'm sure they are just different brands; but it works wonders. All of a sudden Nostrilla has disappeared from the shelf of my CVS (which is the only place locally that I was ever able to find it). Online sites have is listed as out of stock. Was it discontinued, recalled, or what? ## I believe certain batches of Nostrilla were recalled due to a concern over contaminated water being used. I can't find it either. ## That is correct, there was recall on the Nostrilla 12-Hour Nasal Decongestant Spray back on September 20, 2011, due to the potential presence of a microbial contaminant. It contains the active ingredient Oxymetazoline and it is used in several similar products that you might want to try, as an alternative, until there is a new supply of Nostrilla on the shelves. Insight Pharmaceuticals has recently changed the Nostrilla formula they have been using for years. They have added a preservative to it. The problem is, it makes many people's noses swell and burn for about 20-30 minutes and doesn't work as well.
