I have a box of recently expired K-Lyte effervescent tablets individually wrapped. 25mEq elemental Potassium (975mg) as potassium citrate. Expired Nov 2015. Would they be safe to use since they are individually sealed and only 4 months past expiry? ## Hello, Lynda! How are you? They don't become dangerous, once expired, but they can lose some efficacy and may not work as well as they did, when new, to raise potassium levels. Unless your doctor approves of your still using them, it would be best to dispose of them and obtain a new supply. The U.S. FDA lists their typical side effect as being nausea. It is SPAN-K very much the same as kallium durule ..they are both composed of potassium chloride.. so I am okay now..Thank you anyway.. i took about 32 ounces of this stuff to clean me out BUT had to stop cause my st0mach was killing me. ## Go Lytely contains: polyethylene glycol, potassium chloride, sodium bicarbonate, sodium chloride, and sodium sulfate And is used to clean out the bowels, usually before medical testing. And yes, anything that works basically as a laxative can cause those types of side effects and you may also experience: bloating, vomiting or nausea. Have you contacted your doctor about this? ## I drank one glass of golightly and in 15 minutes, I became severely short of breath, started shaking, and my head was swimming. I then looked up the side effects and they were there. I took one sip several hours later and instantlay experienced the same reaction. Be aware!

Could you share your experience using half litely. Cramps, nauseas etc. Thanks ## if you are taking half lytely, before drinking get a fresh lemon get the juice in your mouth (use a straw to drink it helps) ## For my 3rd ever colonoscopy my doctor prescribed this prep, saying the previous prep used (with which I had had no problems) was no longer manufactured. A) Halflytely cost me over $70 (with insurance); B) The amount of liquid required to be consumed is unreasonable by comparison to other methods; C) The side effects which I experienced (nausea, discomfort, cramping) made it nearly impossible to finish the quantity. If it is this stressful, people will not do the prep properly. Perhaps worse, they will refuse to have another colonoscopy if given no other option. Terrible experience!

How I can buy this one? ## I've been treated with Lutenyl for my myoma utery problems for almost 3 years. My myoma getting smaller but if I didn't take care of what I eat.. the myoma get bigger. The good thing is, I didn't get pain every month because my cycle stopped. My question is what side effect will occur if I still take this medicine for long term. I am 47 years old.
